The Black Cat Café was one of my favorite restaurants in Kata. The new restaurant at the same spot shares the same menu, but unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. I ordered the cashew chicken, which used to be one of the highlights. I clearly stated that I wanted no mushrooms, which was acknowledged by the waitress. Eventually the dish arrived, full of mushrooms. When I pointed it out, they apologized and took the plates away. After a minute they brought it back, obviously just picking the mushroom out, the time was too short to make a new dish. There were still pieces of mushroom in the dish, so I called the waitress again. First she said it was not true that there was mushroom, but when I showed her the pieces she apologized again. I explicitly asked her to get a new dish made, don’t just pick out the mushroom. She said they will. After another minute the dish returned, I did not even bother checking, it was clearly the same plate. I just asked for the bill and left. Getting an order wrong is one thing, happens to all restaurants. Repeatedly trying to return the same dish, and claiming that it is a new one is another matter, I will surely not go back ever again. The Black Cat Café will be dearly missed.
And then 2 years later there is an answer to my review, saying that I was very very drunk and rude to the staff. Which is completely untrue, another reason to never go...
Read moreAbsolutely my favorite place in all of Thailand, I’m from Texas but born in Sweden so the obvious draw for me was the shop run by the Swedish speaking American guy from Colorado, my aunt lives in Phuket and couldn’t wait to introduce me to Charlie and raved about the quality of the flower after I expressed my need for high quality weed on my trip to Thailand, having been spoiled by the extreme quality of the cannabis in America. I was absolutely not disappointed, with a mesh of beautifully laid back Thai vibes and the atmosphere of a Amsterdam cannabis cafe fused with the smoke quality comparable to that of the legal industry in the states, you could say Charlie and I were quickly acquainted and instantly friends. The staff are incredibly friendly and quickly learned that I enjoyed the pineapple and coconut milk smoothie and a couple of joints before going to the beach for a swim in the morning. The food variety is insane and never once disappointed, from pork schnitzel, which I had about 10 times in 3 weeks, to a Philly cheesesteak that’s fire, ask for the chipotle mayo, trust. Super fresh and tasty Thai food and even a super filling and day fueling Hawaiian breakfast. Super fresh cocktails and smoothies and ice cream with thc that had my uncle and I on the moon. Absolutely Love Charlie and love...
Read moreI made order for delivery. It was just fried rice with vegetables. Seems like easy to cook right ? What’s problems could be with rice? But
It’s took 1 hour and 10 minutes till driver comes to me. But cafe is only 800m from me. Also it was morning time when they don’t have any customers.
Also Ive ask them to not put chemicals like salt, palm oil, flavor boosters magnesium and etc. but they ignored my request and did absolutely opposit and put a lot of that things
Conclusion: If you care about your time and money - better not to order food in here If you care about your health, skin, kidney and liver - do not to eat in here!
It’s just a traffic cafe without food culture and health knowledges. They will not reach custumer-retention with this approach to the customers. I’ve read some comments in here, and I’m not gona be surprised if the account manager will send back to this comment something like “sorry, but you are bad person we doing good food bla bla bla” or “thank you for your opinion bla bla bla” or will create other...
