During my recent trip to Kata, Phuket, I had the pleasure of dining at Royal Kata Number 6 Restaurant, and it was an experience worth sharing.

Ambiance: The restaurant boasts a charming and welcoming atmosphere. The interior is a perfect blend of traditional Thai decor with modern touches, making it a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing place to enjoy a meal. The seating arrangement is spacious, allowing for a relaxed dining experience without feeling crowded.

Service: The staff at Royal Kata Number 6 were attentive and friendly from the moment we walked in. They were quick to greet us, show us to our table, and provide us with menus. Throughout the meal, our server was prompt, courteous, and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu items.

Food: The highlight of the visit was, of course, the food. The menu offered a diverse range of authentic Thai dishes, all prepared with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the Pad Thai and Green Curry, both of which were cooked to perfection with a perfect balance of spices. The seafood was also a standout, especially the grilled prawns and the spicy seafood salad. Each dish was beautifully presented and served at the right temperature.

Value: Considering the quality of the food and the level of service, the prices at Royal Kata Number 6 are quite reasonable. It's a great value for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Thai cuisine without breaking the bank.

Overall Experience: My dining experience at Royal Kata Number 6 was exceptional. The combination of excellent food, attentive service, and a pleasant ambiance made it a memorable evening. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Kata, Phuket, whether you are a local or a tourist. It’s a fantastic spot for a delightful meal with...

We went to visit this restaurant off the high reviews and varied menu and loved the large range of options that the pages and pages of menu had for both Thai and Pakistan/Indian food!

The seats were taller than most and also turn easily which was amazing for a tall person with back problems.

The lamb korma and garlic naan were delicious and the korma was quite mild with a few similar flavours to a butter chicken making it quite pleasant. I think the tom kha could have used a few more spices, but it was easy to eat too and my wife loved the pineapple fried rice served in a pineapple! She also loved the coconut smoothie. I had a sip and it was very good!

They brought us out a Pakistan chai tea that was really good for free and recommended a traditional dessert that we each had too. I believe they brought out another dessert for free to try as well, but we may have paid since I don’t know all the names.

He took a picture of us with our camera and was very friendly creating what felt to us to be a very cultural experience with his home country (and I enjoyed the English pop music).

My only recommendation to the owner would be to treat his staff a bit nicer. She was lovely but couldn’t speak English, so it made the ordering hard directly with her. Perhaps getting people to use the numbers or point of they don’t speak Thai could work, but either way it’s always good to be respectful to those who work for you 🙂 Oh and prices were a bit expensive, but only a bit.

Thank you for the great...

I visited Royal Kata Number 6 Restaurant with the expectation of finding authentic Indian vegetarian food, only to discover it was a Pakistani establishment. I'm unsure why they predominantly advertise as an Indian restaurant, perhaps to attract more customers, but it's certainly misleading.

My dining experience was incredibly disappointing. I ordered daal and naan, and honestly, it was the worst I've ever tasted—completely bland and devoid of flavor. The quality was so poor it made me question their hygiene standards and cooking methods. When I tried to ask a simple question about the menu, the staff was dismissive and unhelpful, making the entire experience even more unpleasant.

I am genuinely shocked by the high ratings this place has received online; I feel utterly cheated by them, as I would never have gone there otherwise. It’s frustrating to see a restaurant with such a poor standard of food and customer service get praised so highly. I hope my review can serve as a warning to other potential customers. Save your money and your taste buds—there are plenty of other fantastic dining options in the area. This place is not...

Absolutely amazing experience! The food and service were exceptional. We had the butter garlic lobster and tiger prawns — incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. The seafood sauce was simply delicious. The spicy chicken had a unique and tasty twist — a blend of Korean flavors with something extra. A huge shoutout to Mr. Bilal, the owner, who truly went above and beyond. He personally picked up and dropped off our family of six from our resort. Knowing it was my spouse’s birthday, he surprised us with a cake and even arranged a birthday song — all on short notice! Even though it was drizzling, he kindly drove us to Kata Market because we mentioned wanting to visit. He waited while we explored and then brought us back to our resort afterward. Halal options around Karon are rare, and this place is a gem — 100% halal with no alcohol served at all. If we ever return to Phuket, Royal Kata Number 6 will definitely be at the top of our list!

Not quite sure where the good reviews came about. He offered a rotten banana to our baby at first - prolly it's a good banana to them? Owner of the restaurant is not that ethical kept promoting us to order seafood. We merely enquired about the price of king prawns and did not wish to order king prawn as one of our family member is allergic to seafood. He acknowledged that but still added prawn dish to our list. We were disappointed to see the prawn dish being served in the end. Food is mediocre and doesn't taste fantastic. Small place with uncomfortable chairs and table that keep knocking on your knees. The server's command of English is also poor. Overall, we regretted dining at their place and felt cheated by the 4+ rating. Dine at your own risk!!!
