The service here is funny and ridiculous. If you are using their white towel be ready to pay 400 baht if you leave any kind of stain on it. I repeat 400 baht. Even the ones that can be easily washed. We didn't check if the stain was already there or not, most likely it was. We used the towel and while checking out they charged us 400 baht. They have not kept any information related to how to contact reception but they do have the damage charge menu. :D First time I saw something like that. It seems they charge everyone for something or the other and earn more with damage charges than the room charges It was not like they were really helpful during other times. The room AC was horrible, it used to take 4-5 hours to get the temperature down by 4-5 degrees. When we checked-in the room by ourselves, the room temperature was 35 degrees with the sun coming directly to the room. It was hot, humid and suffocating. After putting the AC at high it took 5 hours to bring the temperature down to 29 degrees. There was no way to communicate to reception from the room. You have to go down to the reception. There was a WhatsApp number shown at the reception but no one used to respond. And that person responds, the person asks to contact the reception desk so there is no point. Other than that it was a decent stay.
Response to owner: We did keep the towel as we had paid 400 baht and when the option was given to keep it. But no one will pay 400 baht for a towel that has been used hundreds of times. :D Our concern was the stain could have been washed in a single wash. We did wash the towel after reaching home and in a single wash there was no stain. I will soon be posting the photo/video of your towel to show the same. Regarding the extension of stay during midnight: As we were out during midnight and wanted to extend the stay we reached out on WhatsApp(only way to contact). Later we also went to reception to inform them that we have booked and extended our stay so that there is no confusion during checkout time as we were leaving early morning for an island tour. But the reception person said come back again in the morning at 6-7 before your island tour to confirm the same. What's the point of 24hr helpdesk when the smallest of things cannot be managed and every time guests have to come down to the reception only during working hours. You claim to be a 3 star hotel and there is no way to contact reception from the room. We had to come down to the reception every time for the smallest...
Read moreVery Poor guest "service", amazing chilling rooms (if AC is working), good location.
I arrived in heavy rain and wanted to checkin. Check inn process very smooth but no warm welcome, no smile, no towel, no umbrella... Nothing! Even a short small talk was not possible. Maybee the lady had a bad mood day, but anyway... First impression can be fixed.
Even on next day when I had some issues while trying to extend the stay in that beautyful hotel Miss "L. " (same as at checkin) was not able to communicate in any way. Instead talking to me or explain the situation she was ignoring me for more than 5 minutes while texting annoyed with booking agent at agoda to block all bookings.
I general it's an very god hotel, unfortunately focused on Russian guest who monger around in front of reception area, start drinking and arguing with each other in a very loud way already early in the morning. Anyway it's annoying but no issues with other guests so far. Also House keeping ladies were always smiling and friendly to the guests and asked every morning if I need something. Keep the spirit up!
Location is great, close to everything you need and don't need so u don't need to struggle with anything. I really enjoyed the stay but as I am also working in hotel business I really recommend a training in regards to guest service and guest satisfaction to Miss L. , she seems to be a really nice person but needs some support to develop.
In the meanwhile I changed the room and needed some assistance at night, but unfortunately also here it came to point that this hotel seem to employ staff from Myanmar which is not able to communicate except via translator. AC in new room also was not working so I ha dto handle the 35 degrees C at night.
I left with very mixed feelings tho... Never had such bad "service" for...
Read moreThis hotel is very clean and has lovely rooms. It has the potential to be a really good hotel. The hotel is ruined by the rude and generally unhelpful reception staff. Emailed 3 days before arriving asking to pay for an upgraded pool room - no reply: arrival day at reception asked again - blank faced receptionist states ‘you’re in Indy room’, ask to upgrade, reply ‘you’re in Indy room’. Gave up asking - I assumed what she meant was that the hotel was busy and we couldn’t move. This seemed a reasonable assumption considering we arrived at 1.30pm and she offhandedly told us to return to check in at 2pm - 2pm husband goes to check in and get key, key literally slid across counter to him with barely a glance and certainly no directions to room or lift. Turns out hotel was only about 1/3 occupied so no idea why we couldn’t pay to upgrade or check in half an hour early. At 1 point during our stay husband asked for a glass/cup to get water out the water cooler - told by reception no with a shoulder shrug. Every morning we ate breakfast at the cafe next door (which was lovely food) - the hotel buffet breakfast looked very nice from what we could see and we had intended having breakfast there, however the reception staff attitude just made us not want to even pay the £6 for breakfast |As I said this hotel could be lovely - room great, cleaning excellent. Spent 1 month touring round South Asia and this is the first time we’ve came across unhelpful people - every other hotel we’ve stayed in has has really...
