Seacret Restaurant Phuket — Restaurant in Karon

This is the restaurant at Katathani Resort, which also serves as the venue for the hotel’s complimentary breakfast.

During my stay in Phuket, I spent two nights at Katathani Resort and had breakfast here for two days, as well as lunch once.

The setting is truly top-notch — dining outdoors offers a beautiful view of the beach and the sea. The staff are also very friendly. Since it’s a family-friendly resort, the restaurant provides children’s utensils themed around Frozen, which is a lovely and thoughtful touch.

Because there are so many kids, food is constantly being dropped on the floor during meals, and the staff have to clean up frequently — big thanks to them for their hard work.

Now, about the lunch — the quality wasn’t particularly impressive. The Thai-style stir-fried rice noodles and crab fried rice were both quite bland.

The breakfast buffet also didn’t offer a wide variety of options. It lacked that colorful, vibrant feeling you usually get when having breakfast...

It was such a delight having breakfast by the beach each morning. There is a wide variety of food, the otions are endless. The staff is amazing and they showed us so much love, they made us feel at home. We also had amazing buffet dinner accompanied by a beautiful performance from the artists on the stage that was setup that day. We would like to extend special thanks to Pond, Chain and Smart for the wonderful service they offered. Room for improvement:

excellent location on beach front .

Friendly staff. But no reply to email reservation request.

Furthermore, breakfast restaurant seems to be catering only for our guests after the hotel. External guests like us seem to create a lot of confusion for all of the staff involved.

Food variety and quality good — but very often they run out of the different offerings.

Long queues waiting for food or coffee.

Could be cleaner. Tables often not cleared and left to the birds …

Very expensive. Not good...
