Orchid Restaurant (Katanoi beach) — Restaurant in Karon

Convenient location next to my hotel. Food is disappointing. For the Pineapple rice, it’s tasteless, the rice grains are very moist and the rice grains has more curry smell (yes not taste) than pineapple. Mango salad is bitter. Fresh shrimp salad, the fish paste sauce is super super salty. The vegetable was not fresh either. And the staff charged me for a fish 420 Batt that I didn’t even order. He said he forgot to cancel from the order but I DIDNT EVEN ORDER. I only asked for the price.

I’m sorry but it’s definitely a bad place to eat. To me bad food spoils my day. Lots of room for improvement. For now it’s just disastrous. And please check...

Spent a month on Kata Noi beach and had food in this restaurant most days. The folks working there are super warm and friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. My favourite is deep fried sweet and sour fish! I really love the view to the street as well, where you can regularly see all sorts of Thai mirracles, usually involving mopeds - like a thai dude smoking a cigarette or a lady driving with a dog between her legs an a motorcycle :D Really...
