Ok... Let's start with the positive...

Tater tots are really good even with waiting almost an hour for delivery. There’s still crispy salted right cooked well. Really good tater tots.

that’s kind of where the love ends. I ordered a sausage biscuit which I was craving because I’m from the USA, which is very popular there and I’m from the south so I also ordered the chicken and waffles which I was really excited about.

The sausage is not really like a breakfast sausage and it’s got pink in it so I don’t think it was cooked very well. I’m a little afraid that I took a few bites. It just doesn’t have the spices that it needs to really have that punch and the biscuit is more like a cake then a fluffy biscuit.

The waffle looked really good. It’s got a nice thick Belgian waffle look a little touch of crisp to it cooked very well but again that’s where the positive ends there’s no flavor like you have to put some flavor into the batter. The syrup actually has alcohol in it, which is bizarre and ridiculous like a good syrup should not have alcohol in it when you say whiskey syrup, the whiskey should be cooked out, leaving the whiskey flavor without the alcohol stench... the chicken is actually pretty good. The batter is actually nice but it is a thigh instead of a breast. I don’t know why they do that here I hate thighs and it’s pretty common at least back in America that a chicken and waffle is a breast of boneless breast.

I wish they would let me come in even for a couple hours and maybe in the afternoon I could make their food so much better there’s a lot of potential here. It just needs some love.

Slow and easy mornings are a thing of the past. Gone are the days of sitting casually in a restaurant and relaxing while listening to curated beats while waiting for your brekky. An even more rare occurrence is having your meal arrive at your table, and it looks even better than the picture. Such was our experience at Chu.

This wasn't our first visit, but the first time, I decided to write a review and share a few thoughts on our experience. Tucked away from the intermittent noise of Soi 31, you'll find two-story home that has been wonderfully converted into a restaurant. They have both indoor and outdoor seating to meet your mood. There is a garden to boot! The general vibe is chillaxed!

But back to the food... it was great. By great I mean that it felt thoughtful without being pretentious. This can be a difficult feat for businesses that are trying to stand out in the midst of a sea of options. Our dishes were excellent and arrived in a timely manner. The quality ingredients were combined artfully to achieve visual and gustatory satisfaction. I would sum up our outing with an image that encapsulates how I feel.... Imagine that you have a grandma or older relative who is cool, confident, a great cook, and loves making people happy and at home....

This meal was a roller coaster ride of emotions

1.vibe and music and layout was great Then i was told im not allowed to have my 10 baht water bottle inside I had to put it on the table next to me... right.... nearly lost me straight away but thougjt Ill give it a chancd Coffee was different with lots of foam but wasnt a good coffee, had to add sugar to it to get rid of the bitterness. Had the light roasted one. Food came out but it was way too cold I had to do the uncomfortable thing and ask nicely for a new meal. Much much better the second time round. The waiters apologised and were very professional about it. However the bacon was not good and very small especially for a "big breakfast".. the poached eggs were tasteless and just pork crackling for me, poached eggs were wrong, potatoes were average. The sauasage patty was great and so were the cherry tomatoes and mushrooms, good job there. Hollandaise sauce was terrible tho, dont reccomend it.. Then the bill came and to my shock they whacked a 10% service charge ontop of the already expensive price so unfortunately it has left a bad taste in my mouth and definitely do not recommend this place. Very unfortunate as the music and set up was perfect...
