The service we downhill since they changed the team. I don't blame the team for not being efficient in the service, it's poor management to leave the team untrained. Quality of food also went down. We used to go very often for the lunch menu but it's changed a lot. Salad was not the same. It now looked somewhat like cheap salad you get for free from local street food. Pizza dough was sad, thin, crisp and disappointed. We had to ask for desserts that came in the set then waiter came back to give the menu. We told him we wanted the one in the set that was pre-ordered. When arrived, chocolate lava was COLD and let alone the lava effect was not happening. We sent it back and the 2nd attempt was kind of acceptable (still cold though). And after all this time coffee never arrived. We basically finished the cake already and the coffee still hadn't come. Manager left since the beginning and let these poor people worked by themselves having no clue of what to do. I will still go to Wine connection but probably not here and not anymore...
Read moreDon’t expect to have the typical high quality, ‘Wine Connection’ experience. The food is the same high standard as all their other restaurants, but the service is deplorable. Four staff members stood behind the counter chatting while my friends and I had to serve ourselves. The restaurant was not busy. Upon entering the restaurant we were told that we didn’t have a table, even though we had booked, ‘thinking it might be busy’ 30 minutes prior. Nobody poured our drinks, I had to pour the champagne for my friends and I whilst the staff ignored us. We had to demand that they clear the table. The service was non existent from beginning to end! I live in Thailand and have eaten at Wine Connection on a regular basis since being invited to the opening of their first store around 25 years ago. I have always experienced the highest standard of service until this evening. My friends were as shocked as I was. This franchise does not have a foreign manager as confirmed by a staff member, and as such the standard is very low. Please choose another restaurant in this area, there are many to choose from, if you don’t want to have a...
Read moreI visit Wine Connection a few times a month, and it’s become one of my favorite spots in town. The food quality is consistently excellent—fresh ingredients, perfectly executed dishes, and generous portions that never disappoint. Their wine selection is pretty impressive too, with a nice range of affordable bottles and some hidden gems for special occasions.
What really sets this location apart, though, is the staff. Everyone is friendly and attentive, but I especially want to thank Som for making every visit memorable. She has an incredible knack for reading the table’s mood and suggesting the perfect wine pairings—whether it’s a crisp Sauvignon Blanc to cut through a rich pasta or a bold Cabernet to complement a steak. Her food recommendations are spot-on as well; thanks to her, I’ve discovered menu items I’d normally overlook, like the truffle mushroom risotto that’s now a must-order for me. Som is always warm, professional, and genuinely enthusiastic about what she does, which turns a good meal into a great experience. Keep up the fantastic work, Som—you’re the reason I keep...
