I do not recommend this to anyone who are going to try it when you visit Bangkok and looking for the North Eastern local Thai foods in Sukhumvit! This restaurant worths nothing. Service: 4/10 Fail to manage the queue even there are few guests waiting they give the number but do not call in order. 🙁 Some staffs are friendly and so active while the one who seems like the owner (I guess) and others care only to entertain the guest who are drinking (with some purpose … you know what I mean) instead of looking after the restaurant, overview and check if any of guest who has not get their order yet. 🙁 Like me… I ordered the Hot Pot and have to wait for 20mins without any inform that they are limit of clay pot to serve and have to wait for the coal to be heated…. The one who seems like manager did nothing (except entertained the guest sit on the back of me) They kept us waiting ..looking at the raw pork and vegetables …while other staffs were walking around doing their job. 😔 Food: 5/10 The taste and quality are general …pretty pricy compare with other restaurants that provide you the same but in half price! I do not complain if they argue that due to the location of the sukhumvit but with the service and taste you can find the other options which is much more better. The spicy salted egg and sweet corn salad costs 130฿ with only one salted eggs and a few sweet crushed corns 🫤☹️ Then when we called for cheque, they brought us the receipt that does not match the price in the menu!!!! 🤯They add 10฿ more in our hot pot order (you can see the both receipts) and we did not think this was right! The point is not about the value of 10฿ but the feeling that is the restaurant going to cheat us? (and maybe other guest without noticing or checking) this is unacceptable !!😡 We pointed to them then the part-time staff (who is so active and nice) managed to edit the price to be accurate…. (While the one lookalike manager or maybe owner still there at the same spot…) 🙄 We left the restaurant with the bad feeling with all the thing we get today… we prefer to tip the staffs who are so active and doing their job so well…Poor them that has to be at this kind of restaurant. If you like the service of entertaining (play a rock-paper-scissors game with you who lose so they drink) but not expect for the good service mind, foods and price maybe this restaurant is right for you.

Interesting experience as they serve ant egg, its some exotic food rich in protein and it tasted like chewing boiled barley or softer version of baby jelly bean. you got to try it yourself. The way its prepare, its sour and spicy very much alike to most local thai food. Base on the locals, it is a seasonal food. Only available during the hotter seasons. Green curry, crab meat fried rice and chicken rice is nice. Their grill chicken is also respectable. But do be caution the small serving is meant for 1 pax but large serving is for like 3 pax. Do avoid over ordering. Long queue during dinner time, expected wait is 20min for queue. From sit down to food arrive is about 45min ish. So do come early. Small restaurant in general max 20 table. Parking is ok as traffic infront of the restaurant is not jam like nana or asoke lane. Quite far from BTS about 10min from phomg phomg station. Overall i spend 970bhat here for all the item mention

They offers variety of Esarn food from ordinary dish to the most famous dish like Jum Zaap, Grilled Fish and Larb. The food here is looking good and too much option to chose. Jum Zaap the Thai style hot pot with spicy soup, good aromatic soup and rich in flavor and eating with pork is really nice. Grilled Chicken also recommended, well cooked and very tasty, soft and tender texture. Larb Phed is one of their signature menu, it is very crunchy dish and spicy, you can feel the aromatic from Thai herbs. There are also some seafood menu like Shrimps marinated in fish sauce, this one is the most favorite menu among the locals. Baan Esarn Muang Yos is really a good place to explore the Northeastern Thai food, with huge selection and tasty food. And their location is right in the city with authentic style local food, a bit quite expensive but still one of the restaurant worth visiting.

Terrible Service and Disrespectful Attitude

We went to this restaurant at 1 AM, hoping for a good late night meal. From the moment we arrived, things started going downhill. We were told to wait while the waitress checked for an available table and would inform us immediately. However, she never came back and completely ignored us. I had to walk in myself and ask, only for her to finally direct us to a table.

There was one table left, but a group of 4 arrived after us. Out of courtesy, we decided to let them take the table and ordered takeaway instead. The waitress told us it would take 15 minutes. After 30 minutes, there was still no food, and no one updated us. We had to remind them repeatedly, and every time, the response was a dismissive “wait” before they walked away.

This happened four times, with no real effort to check or update us. Instead, the staff kept pretending to go to the kitchen while doing nothing. To make matters worse, the group of 4, who arrived after us and took the table we gave up, got their food first and were almost done eating while we were still waiting.

The most frustrating part was the attitude of the staff. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy, as the waiters had time to chat and drink with other customers, yet they completely ignored us and our order. We left feeling disrespected and extremely disappointed.

Despite the food is good based on other reviews, the customer service is extremely terrible....
