Hall at 5th floor smells like public toilet Breakfast not worth even this 250thb to compare whats there in this area 0/5 gym room fined 5000 thb for same smoking rules work differently in different branches
P.S.S. Can receive 5000 thb fine for just having weed , even if u never smoked it, just for bringing it inside hotel, closed in ziplock. If cleaning lady see u have it they believe they can fine u. This is ridiculous.
5.06 after coming back in my room I see a paper that says I am fined 5000 thb for violation canabis rules. I take this list and go down where we start a communication with hotel staff nickname VIT. He asked me and I honestly replied that I smoked little cap on a balcony with a pipe, and left this pipe outside behind doors on a balcony ( to not bring the smell inside ). Rather then this pipe in my room were NO a tiny piece of cannabis that were left outside on any open space, it was few g in zip-pack and closed grinder on a table. So cleaning lady see the pipe outside, report it - you get 5000 thb fine -) The paper claims that :”the room has an honor consistent with cannabis USE” - it is a FALSE statement. So back to dialog with mister VIT ( GSA ) - when I told him that I smoked on balcony he says its prohibited also even tho in rules that I signed balcony could have been mentioned too since u can smoke on balcony a cigarette in rooms of same UHG hotels at another branches in bkk while its always prohibited in room. So mister VIT tells me that according to hotel rooms he can fine me even if cleaning staff see a closed ziplock in personal belongings of a guest, even he not smoked anything, and this is EXACTLY what they just done 2 weeks ago with another customer, according to Mr VIT. So after 3 minutes of little bit heated but still not crossed any lines of respect - without me saying anything that i don’t want to pay or something - Mr. VIT tells me “ its okay if you refuse to pay we can call a police “-D LOL I would love to attend on this UHG coaching seminar where this GSA was taught that this is the way you treat your customers and shows your hospitality. Of course I will pay and just leave a review. I am a person who always tries to not vape / smoke on a people, always gathering bottles/ trash after my stay and leave my room clean and never caused any bad smell in any hotel/ apartment i stayed. And you telling me I need to pay you 170$ because I brought a weed in a room, and you not do a worrying or anything - you just fining guest for 5000, maybe this is how you make money ? I stayed in 4 branches of UHG BKK, and everything was okay compare to price or could be solved and understanding like a dirty room in your old branch on Thonglor. But if , as u said, you fined a guest who had his flower not opened not smoked, so had no smell - u P.S. staff members in to work in police to have the legal and morally approved reasons to fine people, not in a place where u...
Read moreIn the city of Bangkok, the area of Phrom Phong is the place where you can find so many great restaurants and shops as well as high-end condominiums to live the most favorable city life in Thailand. This review may be a bit longer than usual (?), but you’ll find it interesting and useful, I hope ☺️
The Quarter Phrom Phong by UHG is conveniently situated in the heart of this Phrom Phong area among many expensive hotels and high rises, many excellent restaurants and spas are walking range, and it has everything you need and even more to pleasantly exceed your expectations and satisfy your stay with a fraction of the cost in the most desirable area of Bangkok.
First off, you should always reserve your room with breakfast included, because one of the main reasons for this rating is it’s breakfast. The Breakfast Buffet Menu is changed every day, each delicious dish is prepared with fresh ingredients and great care, and the quality of food is excellent. It’s never the typical boring continental breakfast buffet here! The longer you stay, the more menu you’ll look forward to the next morning!!
Second, the rooftop swimming pool is just right size and depth, always clean and comfortable, with jets on one end providing a perfect lay down massage in the pool! Enough deck chairs for relaxing, towels are available on 8th floor right before you go up onto the rooftop. Small gym with nice equipment and a multipurpose room located on the 8th floor as well, also kids’ playground as well as mini patter golf is available on the rooftop. After all, it gives you a feeling of being in an oasis in the middle of the busy, vibrant city when you sit on the chair or float in the pool of this small hotel’s rooftop.
Last but not least, the room has everything you need, such as nice mini kitchen and good size refrigerator, living room and bedroom separated. Bathroom has shower and bathtub. Plus balcony is available if you request ! So, with this reasonable price in prime location, this hotel is a rare find gem !!
Honestly, I’d not want to share this information because I don’t want this hotel to get too busy to be always sold out … but for the sake of all friendly staff and hardworking chefs, and honoring my pleasant experience with this hotel, I’m sharing my humble opinion with 5 star rating 👍🙏❤️
There, now you know! Enjoy your time in the heart...
Read moreThere are three things I look for in a hotel: cleanliness, a convenient walkable location, and design that boasts at least a passing nod to the current century. And if I'm staying more than one night, I do love me a suite!
Of course, if you're on a budget you're usually going to have to compromise on at least a couple of these. But not at The Quarter Phrom Phong.
This newly converted budget/midscale hotel brand under the UHG umbrella is about as compact you can get without cutting amenities, sacrificing cleanliness, or being actively uncomfortable. The rooms aren't large enough to avoid bumping into a fellow guest, but what hotel rooms are? Our sleeping ‘quarters’ fit a full sized (and super comfy) bed, with beside tables, an open wardrobe, and a wall mounted TV, while the living ‘quarters’ featured a full kitchenette with a sink and a medium sized fridge, as well as a sofa, small desk/working nook, and another TV.
There are single space rooms available but suite options are available for a modest bump in rate.
The design and décor is tasteful and understated, which, along with some nicely chosen elements, highlights the cleanliness, and makes the most of the available light and space. A few worn corners and edges here and there show the age of the property but in all in all it's a beautiful stay.
All this would already be great but location is where the property truly shines. Situated between Terminal 21 in Asok and EmQuartier in Phrom Phong you're right in the bougie heart of the city. It would almost be easier to list what isn't within walking distance but sure, let's give it a go. Four shopping centres, multiple top notch breakfast joints, reputable massage places, supermarkets, bakeries, gastro pubs, an IKEA, too many bars, restaurants, and clubs too count, and even an onsen right around the corner!
Our breakfast wasn't included, but is very affordable at 209 THB. And in any case there are plenty of fantastic options a stone's throw away.
And if you're interested, the pillows are fantastic.
So there you go. No compromises, just a...
