Nonkiya — Restaurant in Khlong Tan Nuea Subdistrict

When I came for the first time I loved the place. And there’s an extensive menu that looks authentic Japanese. But for the second time, everything is just way too salty and heavy on the sauces, not in a good way. The more I try on their menu, the more disappointed I get. And the staff don’t ever smile or seem welcoming at all. They look miserable. Which I don’t normally pay attention to, but the food just comes out so slow that I do notice their work ethics in detail. A cold vegetable dish could come out 25 mins later after the stir-fried Yakisoba noodles. This shows how unorganized their kitchen is.

Last but not least, they would serve the Japanese guests alcohol but not the none-Japanese during Covid alcohol ban. Double standard...
