That said, I was quite disappointed with the service. When we walked in, there were four empty tables, so we asked if there was a table available for us. One of the staff told us to wait while they arranged something, so we stood near the entrance and started browsing the menu.

It seemed like they were preparing a table, as one staff member was wiping it down. However, after waiting for a while, no one followed up with us or even acknowledged us. Eventually, I had to ask again, only to be told that all the tables were reserved.

The taste of the food is quite good, and they use high-quality rice. However, for me, it wasn't at a level to merit high praise. It was more like 'generally tasty. It's disappointing that the menu design and the atmosphere of the restaurant somewhat resemble a 'pseudo-Japanese restaurant'. The Western music playing in the background also doesn't match the restaurant. The private room at the back for six people has a nice mood and seems suitable for dining meetings. Overall, it feels like a restaurant that may not appeal to Japanese people but could continue if it becomes popular among Thais and foreigners. A bit pricey but Sho Japanese Dining delivers an excellent Japanese dining experience. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, with each slice showcasing the quality of the ingredients. One standout dish was the fried hotate with ankimo liver — rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy, making it a great spot to unwind over a meal.
