Having been deeply immersed in the music and nightlife scene of my own city, Sing Sing Theater in Bangkok offered a refreshing and captivating experience. The ambiance struck me immediately: an eclectic blend of gothic elements and mesmerizing lanterns, casting a moody, yet enchanting atmosphere. The attention to detail in the dƩcor evoked a sense of mystery, setting the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable night.
While the venueās design had some structural quirksāsuch as precarious stairways and a dimly lit environment that could easily pose a riskāthe bouncers did an excellent job at maintaining a safe and smooth experience to the patrons.
The sound design was superb, filling the space with a pulsating rhythm that complemented the crowd, which was a well-balanced mix of locals and tourists. The DJ kept the energy high, skillfully blending tracks to keep the crowd moving until the early hours. I was a bit annoyed with the excessive use of ice for drinks, resulting in overly chilled drinks that somewhat muted the flavor. Yet, they were still enjoyable.
Sing Singās true charm lies in its theatrical flair, which sets it apart from other clubs. The live performancesāa samurai and a woman gracefully swinging from the ceilingāadded a playful, surreal element to the night, enhancing the clubās theme and making it a more immersive experience.
One drawback, however, is the pricing of water. I noticed this is common in many Bangkok venues, but charging a premium for something as basic as water feels out of place, especially when many international clubs provide it free of charge.
In sum, Sing Sing Theater offers a unique, theatrical twist on the usual clubbing experience, with top-notch music, a vibrant crowd, and an ambiance thatās both edgy and enthralling. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a late-night adventure, running until 4 AMāa rare gem in...

Opulent interior beyond belief which makes for a unique break from the other more commercial clubs in Bangkok. The colors, the decoration and the perfect balance of light and dark make this truly a "Theatre" and I love it.
Biggest downside is the Security which are very abrasive and size up the patrons before admitting you - makes you feel like a criminal before entering (never good lol). In fact, the Club security in Khao San and Pattaya are friendlier than Sing Sing's (let that sink in).
Also noticed many patrons in shorts (so not sure if there is a dress code or not? considering some previous reviews complain of not being let in for wearing shorts).
It's a shame that the lack of customer service personality of the security staff brings down your enjoyment of the venue. To be clear, I was admitted, had a great time and no issues, but felt constantly on edge which is hardly enjoyable.
Constructive advice on how to fix the issue: smile, say hi, bit of friendly conversation (goes a long way).
Sing Sing gains a star for the 'floor staff' who are very considerate and check if you finished your drink before taking it away from the table.
Conclusion: a venue which is shooting for the stars but cannot leave the stratosphere due to being held back by lacking the most important element - friendliness on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe ambience, the theatre itself and the staff is really impressive. But the pricing is a little bit 'unclear' with menu items.
We were a group of 3 and ordered a bottle of vodka to secure a table upstairs, our check was immediately brought and we paid it. Waiters asked which sides (energy drink, juices etc...) to accompany the vodka of our selection, we said apple juice.
We were really shocked to receive another bill of 1.200 bahts (for 5 200 ml small flasks of apple juice, in this case, market price is around 80 bahts in total) for apple juices prior to our leaving. They 'thought' only 2 small flasks (total 400 ml) would be enough for a big bottle of vodka and they sold the others for extra. But never in any part of our stay, we were informed about this weird math of SingSing... šµāš«š¤·š»āāļø
In all clubs around the world, if you are to 'open' a bottle to reserve a table / seats, it is served with sides.
What kind of a scam is this to sell 'apple juice', without even noticing the guests, or showing a menu with prices? š¤
So; Ambience and music: 4 stars Management: 2 stars Tourist scam: 4 stars (we've seen worse š«£)
In summary: Ask everything. Otherwise a new bill / check may 'appear' when you are leaving... š Visit at your...
