Subject: Urgent Complaint – Unacceptable Customer Service at Wine Connection Rain Hill
Dear Wine Connection Management Team,
I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the appalling customer service I received from your staff at Wine Connection Rain Hill on March 3, 2025, at 23:22 PM while attempting to make a reservation.
The staff member who answered my call was extremely unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. Instead of providing proper assistance, they spoke in an unacceptable manner, showing a complete lack of courtesy and customer service etiquette. To make matters worse, they abruptly ended the call, hanging up on me before I could even finish my request. This level of behavior is completely unacceptable and disgraceful for a brand of your reputation.
As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and professionalism, not with disdain and disregard. This experience has left me highly dissatisfied and questioning whether I should continue supporting your establishment.
I demand an immediate investigation into this incident and expect to receive a formal response explaining how you will address this issue. Moreover, I urge you to take serious corrective action to ensure that your staff upholds the highest standards of customer service, preventing such unacceptable behavior from happening again.
I look forward to your prompt response. Failure to address this matter appropriately will force me to reconsider my patronage and share this experience through appropriate...
Read moreI normally love going to this restaurant, but the buffet service and experience felt like I was in a completely different place.
Upon arriving, we were presented with the bill immediately—before we even sat down. I’ve never experienced this in all my years of dining in Bangkok. While I was sorting the bill, my partner went to get a glass of wine, which was literally taken out of her hands because my transaction hadn’t gone through yet.
We had a couple of small white wines and then wanted to switch to red. I asked for a fresh glass but was told those were only for à la carte customers and they swilled our glasses out and re poured—even though there were over 200 glasses hanging and ready to go.
The red wine was ice cold. I understand red wine is often served slightly chilled in Bangkok, but this was ice cold. When I asked for room temperature or lightly chilled wine, I was told they didn’t have any—despite there being around 30 bottles of the same wine displayed at the bar. They were unwilling to open another bottle, even though there were at least 20 people drinking red wine. Surely 20 people can’t be expected to share a single standard bottle?
As a regular customer, I felt the service was below their usual standard, and the whole experience made me feel unwelcome—especially given it was their own buffet offer. Why run a promotion if you're not going to support it properly?
AVOID the buffet—go à la...
Read moreAs I am now trying to enjoy myself in this location. I'm trying hard not to regret choosing this place for dinner over another option. I'm trying really really hard NOT to give it a one star. I don't give one star reviews. This place though.. is really testing my patience.
Let's start with the food which is pretty decent BUT the management is a tad inflexible with the tapas orders. It's a long story, but it's down to what the staff recommended and allowed for.
So after like some tapas etc, we had to order an additional pizza (which came with a base that tasted like it was made and frozen). Mind you, we were just a party of two.
We only enjoyed the wine. Period.
So why the one star rating? It was down to the staff and their attitude.
On a Monday night the place was almost a ghost town. And yet they served with zero passion and faces so long they dragged on the floor. I had to thank them really loud to elicit the smallest of smiles from them.
We had to pour our wine ourselves with the exception of one time. Do you even serve white wine at room temperature (Bangkok having a heat wave temperature)? Come on! You're called WINE Connection for goodness sake!
If you ask me, it's all down to being cocky with their many good reviews and not keeping their standards (if there were) up to par. We'll I'm just trying to level things down a bit with my one star.
Ambience was pretty good. Nice window...
