been looking for solf shell crab curry since i been in thailand. this place seems to serve it so a friend and i gave it a try. she got chicken green curry and i got soft shell crab yellow curry with calamari. the green curry my friend got was good even if it was slightly spicy and i have cooked green curry for myself before so i know what i am looking for. i made a mistake of not asking for very spicy yellow curry in my soft shell crab and it was very neutral tasting. i ended finishing my friends green curry which was the best dish because it was good enough in flavor and spice. the calmari was ok. i had better. the soft shell crab would have been great if it was the right spice. overall all definitely a good place to dine and enjoy the night. i want to go back and get the right spice level i can handle which should be 4 out of 5 or 9 out of 10 spice level if not more. while my soft shell crab curry was ok for having no spice, the rest of the sauce was still good. i will return.
service and atmosphere were great. price seems fair. there are so many other dishes i want to try there. i can tell they are familiar with their flavors.
see you soon.
oh i need to add, 79$ usd for the whole bill. that included 3 singha and 2 sparkling water. i understand my soft shell crab was expensive. i think i will just stick to water and no beer next time. will get crab meat yellow spicy curry next time though which will still be expensive, but my bill should...
Read moreDined on a weekday but called to make Reservation for same day 7:30pm. The restaurant was not full but fairly busy. We sat on the outside. Felt ok for party of 4. Not the best table seating but acceptable.
They have have a selection of dishes to choose from. Fish cakes were good. Fried fish was ok Lamchaeron is a lot better. It was a big amount. All the dishes was good but nothing surprisingly great.
Crab curry was delicious. Only dish I would recommend. Paired well with regular rice or sticky rice. The cabbage stir fry was overly seasoned with fish sauce. All the dishes in general and good flavor.
Service was attentive maybe a bit overly attentive. We wanted to sit and chat but it seemed like servers wanted to quickly clear the table. It wasn’t like there was a line of patrons waiting to get our table.
Overall good food but not the best but it’s at a...
Read moreWhile exploring EmQuartier, we decided to look for a Thai restaurant and came across Nara Thai Cuisine in the mall directory. Finding it was a bit of a challenge since we weren’t familiar with the layout, but once we arrived, we were more than ready to eat.
We ordered the Tom Yum, which packed an intense spicy kick, perfect for those who love bold flavors. The highlight for me was the Shrimp Pad Thai with Egg Floss—absolutely delicious and easily my favorite dish of the meal. The balance of sweetness, tanginess, and savory goodness was spot on.
It wasn’t until after we sat down that we realized Nara Thai Cuisine is a Michelin Guide restaurant, which explained why the food was exceptional. The quality, flavors, and presentation were all top-notch. If you’re craving authentic Thai food in EmQuartier, this place is definitely...
