Let me first say that the fish was delicious. The fries were nothing special. Definitely not hand cut and I would have expected a bigger portion for the price paid. I opted for the premium grouper fish. The problem was that there is a really thick batter for the fish. The batter is tasty albeit a little under done due to it being so thickly applied. The batter tastes like American hush puppies.
The beautiful grouper is lost in this overly thick batter. I had to peel most of the batter off to find the fish. The same is true with the order of squid I had. Just way, way too much batter.
I did really enjoy my fish and I ate about half of the batter. The battered fried squid was a miss for me. Overall I can recommend the Fish Corner. I would just order the regular fish. The Klosch beer was enjoyable.

However I was a bit disappointed at the fries, which came out quite soggy. Taste-wise both the batter and fries were quite bland, lacking a bit in salt.
In terms of recommendation for fish selection, going with local fish that has a neutral smell would best fit with the fish and chips. In my opinion, king mackerel doesn't really go well with the dish since it has quite a distinct smell on its own, which I would assume so with the black pomfret. The batter is a little too thick for me and left with a little greasiness in the palate after finishing. However, it is very nice fluffy crispy and tasty fish.
