Subject: Unprofessional Conduct by Security Staff – Formal Complaint
Dear Management,
I visited your venue today at around 1:00 AM and spoke with the hostess, informing her that my wife and I only wished to sit at the bar. She kindly confirmed that this was fine.
However, upon approaching the entrance, I made a light-hearted comment to the security guard, jokingly asking him to stamp the entry mark on my chest. To my surprise, he responded aggressively by pushing me in the chest and demanding to see my ID or passport.
This reaction was highly inappropriate and disrespectful — especially in front of my wife. He had no idea that I’ve visited your venue before and am not a first-time guest. I calmly stepped aside, found a photo of my passport on my phone, and returned to show it to him.
Instead of resolving the situation politely, he raised his voice, followed me, and shouted at me to leave the premises.
This level of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. I would like to highlight that it was not the heavier-set security guard, but the other one at the main entrance. I believe the table booking staff witnessed the incident, and I trust that your security cameras have also captured what happened.
Thank you for showing us how unwelcome we are at your venue. This was a very disappointing and humiliating experience, and not at all reflective of the kind of service expected at such an...
Read moreI don't usually like to complain, but I notice this every time I'm here. I understand that in Thailand, it’s common for staff to drink with customers. However, they have a duty to perform and maintain the prestige of this bar/club. Once they get drunk with the customers, they neglect their duties, making the service quality appalling.
Additionally, the DJ's playlist feels very high school, with poor transitions that often ruin the vibe. I hope they bring in a quality DJ who understands current trends and can create a great club atmosphere.
Not gonna lie, GOT is one of the places that is packed every day, and it is quite popular among young people. Anyhow, lately, the customer trend is slowly crawling towards 'TOD' (Truth or Dare), which has a similar price and layout to 'GOT'. There are more 'entertainment women' (women looking for a free night out) coming to the place. Eventually, this will ruin the night-out culture of the place and gradually turn this place into another...
Read moreShowed up at G.O.T. in Sukhumvit around 2:30 AM and valeted my car (200 baht). The valet mentioned they close late, possibly 3:30 AM. While getting my ticket, I saw others walking in, so I assumed entry wouldn’t be an issue. At security, I was asked if I had a reservation. I offered to buy a bottle (Grey Goose) for myself, but they still denied entry, saying they were “almost closed.” No option was given, which was surprising since most places allow bottle service near closing.
If reservations are a must, it’d be helpful to clarify that beforehand—especially before paying for valet. This is the first place in eight years I’ve been turned away in Bangkok. That said, it looks like a great venue with a solid crowd. Maybe one day I’ll get to experience it—whenever their Instagram or reservation...
