Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a serious incident of racial discrimination that occurred at Baccarat Nightclub (Soi 24, Davis hotel ) on 11 OCT and 10 OCT and approximate time, e.g., October 10, 2025, around 10:00 PM].
When I tried to enter the club, the lady at the entrance told me that the place was “full.” However, I observed that several white tourists were allowed to enter freely at the same time, even though the club was visibly not full. When I questioned this, the staff member at the entrance spoke rudely and dismissed me. It was very clear that Asian and brown-skinned visitors were being denied entry, while others were being welcomed inside without issue.
This experience was deeply humiliating and unacceptable in a country known for its hospitality and tourism. Such racial bias creates a poor image of Thailand and should be addressed seriously. I request that your office kindly: Investigate the incident and the club’s entry policy. Take appropriate action against the management or staff involved.
Ensure this type of discriminatory behavior does not happen again to anyone.
Details:
Venue: Baccarat Nightclub, Soi 24 Date & Time: 10 OCT and 11 OCT both days
Description: Refused entry based on race/skin color while allowing others
Staff: Lady at the entrance (name unknown, but visible in CCTV footage)
Witnesses: Several tourists at the scene
I am happy to provide additional information or photos if required.
Thank you for your attention and for taking this matter seriously. I believe every visitor, regardless of skin color or nationality, deserves equal respect and fair treatment in Thailand and same letter i will send to NHRCT + Tourist Police + UN office at the...
Read moreI’ve been to many places in Bangkok. This place is a robbery!
Firstly let me mention that. The music is amazing here if you like tech-house music, it is amazing. Really is!
Here is the downside. I went here with my gf, probably our 3rd time here. I’ve never spent less than 3000thb here.
This time I came, I spent 1000thb to get in (2 people) you can exchange for 2 drinks.
I went to the bar opened a bottle of rose which came out to 4000thb so now I am 5000thb deep.
We asked the bartender if we could sit at a table in the corner since we opened a bottle. The bartender went and checked with the front came back said “yes” so we sat, everything was great.
About 30min later one of the girls from the front came said we have to move to a standing table, she said the table was “reserved” I said sure.
When we came to the table she said I had to “open another table” I told her I paid 1000thb at the front another 4000thb with the rose “I told her what’s the problem” keep in mind. I am a Thai citizen. Not a foreigner spending cheap money.
5000thb is a lot in Bangkok. Ask any foreigner locals.
Once we ran out of the rose one of the waitress came over and asked if we wanted another bottle. I told her I wanted a “rum and coke” she said I can order that at the bar.
This place is a scam. The music is great but all they want you to do is spend as much money as possible. Don’t waste your time here!
There are a couple other places that are as good like...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. When we arrived, the hostess told us there was a dress code, and one of us was wearing shorts — although the outfit was stylish and clearly smart casual. She said that if we were willing to pay 8,000 THB for a table, the dress code would not be a problem.
We agreed, but the “table” turned out to be just a regular standing table next to the dance floor — definitely not worth 8,000 THB.
Then, a different staff member came to us, barely speaking English, answering most of our questions with “I don’t know” and telling us we had to go to the bar to order drinks, not from the table.
As we approached the bar, the original hostess ran over, started yelling at us saying, “I told you to order at the table!”, “You left the table!”, “You can only buy a bottle, not a single glass!”
In the end, she referred to the shorts again and rudely demanded that we leave the venue.
The whole situation was confusing, disrespectful, and felt very unprofessional — especially considering we were ready to pay 8,000 THB just to get in. The “shorts rule” felt completely arbitrary given our smart casual appearance.
We left extremely disappointed and uncomfortable. Not the level of service or hospitality you’d expect from a place with such...
