Ping’s Shark’s Fin Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Chinese seafood in Bangkok.

One of the highlights of the menu is the Shark’s Fin Soup. This luxurious soup is a rich, flavorful broth filled with tender shark’s fin, abalone, and other seafood. The soup is served piping hot, and the flavors are enhanced with a hint of ginger and shallots. It’s a perfect start to any meal, setting the tone for the culinary journey ahead.

Another must-try is the Oyster Omelette. This dish is a delightful combination of crispy, golden-brown batter and juicy, fresh oysters. The omelette is served with a side of tangy sauce, which perfectly complements the rich flavors of the oysters. The oysters are plump and flavorful, making each bite a burst of oceanic goodness.

For those who enjoy seafood extravaganzas, the Giant Succulent River Prawn is a showstopper. These prawns are enormous and cooked to perfection, retaining their natural sweetness and juiciness. Served with a light garlic sauce, the prawns are a true indulgence for seafood enthusiasts.

The ambiance of Ping’s Shark’s Fin Restaurant is cozy and inviting, with traditional Chinese decor that adds to the overall dining experience. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well-cared for.

In conclusion, Ping’s Shark’s Fin Restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience with its standout dishes like the Shark’s Fin Soup, Oyster Omelette, and Giant Succulent River Prawn. Whether you’re a seafood lover or just looking to try something new, this restaurant is a must-visit in Bangkok. Superb...

We order a Small bowl & Medium bowl shark fins & was eating beside the See through kitchen where I think the owner ( Old spectacle uncle ) is measuring the weight & mixture arrangement of each bowl. For the S1 bowl ( 500 Bht) if u are Shark fin lover , don’t bother to order as we notice the uncle pick some very small shark fin or unwanted corner fins area & when presented after cook , U hardly see any shark fin or this 500 Bht a bowl. So I suggest- no point ordering…( Not value at all … Secondly , Medium size ( 1K bht per bowl ) Same but the amount is still below in other Shark fin’s shop ard Bkk . Video shows the minimum ingredients put into the bowl is under size …, Lastly the fish maw & crab meat soup is acceptable.

Overall , taste Ok but not great as compared to 2 shops that we try a month back Staffs is friendly & attentive. Shop space & seats arrangement is limited. Walking 400 m from Asoke station.

Not fantastic on this shop that shows 4-5 star quality.. To me the owner need to up the size of the shark fins , crab meat quality, at least few pieces mushroom instead of 1 pc for the S1 bowl .. If portions is so little at 500 bht, might as well increase a bit to 700 bht ( Since they charge 10% + 7% Vat ) already costly on total bills etc….

That my thoughts…. I only give 2 Star for foods down size Service staffs 5 star Ambient 3.5 star Food...

I am from HK, with great expectation to come here as the rating was 4.5 stars for Shark Fin, which BKK is supposed to be famous for the quality and price. I ordered a large Shark Fin Chicken Double boiled soup costs Baht 1500. It was a disaster. It does come from with quite some shark fin but absolutely not even "single" boiled, not to mention that it claimed double boiled. The little chicken inside the soup is still very hard, one can imagine how long it has been boiled....normally it should be boiled for at least 2-3 hours to get the amino acid from meat into the soup!!! Instead, they put a lot of salt and MSG into the soup to fake the taste! For the price, though in HK may be charged a bit higher and less shark fin, but the quality is nothing comparable! Other dishes including veggie is also very salty! I feel like i am being cheated, badly! Even the Oolong Tea is sucked! ☹️🤮😖. This is a restaurant trying to fool westerners, as any Chinese or even Asian tongue can definitely taste the huge differences! but i am surprised that there are still many asian in the restaurant, likely tourists comes for first time and misled by. Google rating! ...

Bangkok Short Trip Part I A 4D3N short getaway from the hectic schedules while 'sun bin' go pray pray at the famous Erawan Shrine for good luck. Once touched down at Suvarnabhumi Airport, we quickly took Bangkok CABB which was London style taxi to eat our very first meal in the capital of Thailand. Ping's is an old and traditional Thai Teochew is is b Chinese restaurant that was highly recommended by a dear friend so we made it our first stop even before checking in our hotel. The furnitures looked ◾Braised Shark Fin with Crabmeat in Claypot 1000 Baht (medium) - this dish is Ping's specialty & they live up to their name. I took a peek into the kitchen and they cook it one by one to ensure the quality. The soup packed with umami and quite unique in flavour to me. ◾Braised Fish Maw with Crabmeat in Claypot 300 Baht (small) - the claypot was laden with fish maw ◾Fried Oyster Omelette on Sizzling Plate was definitely Teochew style as it was not crispy like others out there, and they were not stingy on the oysters. ◾Chinese tea was perfect to wash away the oil in the end. A tummy-filling lunch that provided us with the essential energy for the rest of the day.
