Read moreWe order a Small bowl & Medium bowl shark fins & was eating beside the See through kitchen where I think the owner ( Old spectacle uncle ) is measuring the weight & mixture arrangement of each bowl. For the S1 bowl ( 500 Bht) if u are Shark fin lover , don’t bother to order as we notice the uncle pick some very small shark fin or unwanted corner fins area & when presented after cook , U hardly see any shark fin or this 500 Bht a bowl. So I suggest- no point ordering…( Not value at all … Secondly , Medium size ( 1K bht per bowl ) Same but the amount is still below in other Shark fin’s shop ard Bkk . Video shows the minimum ingredients put into the bowl is under size …, Lastly the fish maw & crab meat soup is acceptable.
Overall , taste Ok but not great as compared to 2 shops that we try a month back Staffs is friendly & attentive. Shop space & seats arrangement is limited. Walking 400 m from Asoke station.
Not fantastic on this shop that shows 4-5 star quality.. To me the owner need to up the size of the shark fins , crab meat quality, at least few pieces mushroom instead of 1 pc for the S1 bowl .. If portions is so little at 500 bht, might as well increase a bit to 700 bht ( Since they charge 10% + 7% Vat ) already costly on total bills etc….
That my thoughts…. I only give 2 Star for foods down size Service staffs 5 star Ambient 3.5 star Food...
Read moreI am from HK, with great expectation to come here as the rating was 4.5 stars for Shark Fin, which BKK is supposed to be famous for the quality and price. I ordered a large Shark Fin Chicken Double boiled soup costs Baht 1500. It was a disaster. It does come from with quite some shark fin but absolutely not even "single" boiled, not to mention that it claimed double boiled. The little chicken inside the soup is still very hard, one can imagine how long it has been boiled....normally it should be boiled for at least 2-3 hours to get the amino acid from meat into the soup!!! Instead, they put a lot of salt and MSG into the soup to fake the taste! For the price, though in HK may be charged a bit higher and less shark fin, but the quality is nothing comparable! Other dishes including veggie is also very salty! I feel like i am being cheated, badly! Even the Oolong Tea is sucked! ☹️🤮😖. This is a restaurant trying to fool westerners, as any Chinese or even Asian tongue can definitely taste the huge differences! but i am surprised that there are still many asian in the restaurant, likely tourists comes for first time and misled by. Google rating! ...
