The quality of food is comparable to caritas in Italy. Please dont take it as a sign of Italian food because it lacks 100% of Italian understanding of proportion and taste. This place’s food is 6/10 what Average food is, you wont find any italians inside because they know better, my only regret is that people try this food and will think Italian food is this, this is but a fraction.
On a positive note, the thai manager (without complaining or being asked to) refunded the Vitello tonnato which was completely inedible, while the other few dishes were edible at the very least but unfortunately not even good. Lastly the drink, We took a cocktail and a house wine. The house wine lacked selection, i wanted a wine but the one selected by them was not of my taste, usually high end places will select different but distinct flavor profiles, because it doesnt make any sense to do otherwise. Anyways, my girlfriend went for the wine and I choose the cocktail, The cocktail Had a really unbalanced amount of alchol that ruined its flavor, unfortunately the choice of the alchol itself didn’t suit the flavor profile, they should have went with a sweet rosè.
My hope is that the owner / manager reads the review and gets some independent, skilled chefs to review the food because as taste wise it doesnt meet the homecook standard for italy, let alone an average or professional restaurant.
I brought my Thai girlfriend and she left hungry, asking me to seek another place after spending 2000 baht in food. The worst embarassment for a chef/restaurant is for their customers to leave hungry. The positive reviews here will definitely be from people that dont know much about fine dining or good food in general, there wasn’t a single italian in sight at the restaurant, i wouldn’t take advice on food quality from people that eat salted krauts...
Read moreA few months ago, my experience at Gigi Asoke left me somewhat unsatisfied due to certain aspects of both the food and service. However, after sharing an honest review, the restaurant responded with the utmost professionalism and care, translating a feedback into real improvements.
Upon revisiting today, I was genuinely amazed, as not only had the food reached l excellence, but every small imperfection in the service had been addressed and perfected and very importantly not just us, but every guest was receiving the same elevated experience. It’s rare, and incredibly valuable, to see an already successful restaurant take customer feedback so seriously and continuously strive for excellence.
A huge thank you and deep respect to Wit and his team for making our evening exceptional, showcasing true professionalism, and bringing hospitality to another level. Special compliments to the chef for an updated menu that is not only absolutely delicious but also diverse and inclusive of various dietary needs.
With a background in F&B, I always look for not just good food, but a unique experience, where service plays a pivotal role. After today, I can confidently say that Gigi is one of the best restaurants I’ve visited in Bangkok.
Highly...

Brilliant Italian. There wasn't a dish I didn't like! The pizzas were neapolitan style, crusty chewy edges just the way I like them. It's also of a good size that's truly suitable for 1 as a main. But of course we ordered to share, along with many other yummy food
The Calamari was decent as it should be but the real star is the tartar sauce that came with it. Haven't enjoyed a tartar sauce this much since the one at Swensens. The handmade pastas were delish too, both the truffle (with real truffle shavings) and the granchio (crab meat tomato sauce). Even the salad was on point.
Desserts were amazing too, but portions are huge, especially after a heavy meal. Good thing we shared. Classic Tiramisu, Lemon Meringue Tart (served like a cookie sandwich which made it difficult for sharing, it just falls apart once you cut into it but love the balance of sweet and tangy here), Banoffe Souffle.
Service was excellent and prompt. I just wished they had better sound. It was just alot of echo and noise that made conversations difficult. Also a little pricey by local standards but certainly worth...
