La Rostisseria Koh Tao — Restaurant in Ko Tao

Just like the other review I read, the stars are for the service. It was a bit above average for Thailand. Even had mosquito spray on offer (it was needed the night I went near sunset), and the drink was served with ice in a glass. Prices seemed reasonable, but then the food came (lasagna and a chicken burger) the lasagna had alright flavour, not really traditional or meaty but cheesy more so. Was thin and runny though needed a spoon to finish it. The meat was grey and flavour less almost like boiled burger? Not like the pic on the menu to say the least. The chicken burger was more akin to dog food, at least what you would call the excuse for the"patty". I really hope that wasn't made in house and was some super cheap pack you would get in a cheap grocery store in the freezer burnt discount section, because it was horrible. Also over cooked on top of that. I honestly couldn't even tell what type of meat it was unless you told me. And lots of raw onions and a nothing special white bum that I'm sure came frozen to them? No idea why it's a 4.8 star place on here? A fast food joint could have done better, much better food wise. Sorry it's a harsh review but I wouldn't give that good away free without being...

Myself and my boyfriend (who is Spanish) ate here this evening and we were blown away by the service and food. As we have been travelling for the last few months we have really been missing Spanish food and this was the perfect way to satisfy that. The fuet, jamon and cheeses were amazing, along with the patatas bravas in particular. Along with that, the service was incredible. The owners were so accommodating and friendly and gave us lots of recommendations for other things around the island. Would absolutely return if we were staying longer!!!

Only potential downside is the portion sizes are not massive. But then again, I would choose quality over quantity any...

My visit to La Rostisseria was an absolute delight.

From the warm welcome to the incredible food, everything about this Spanish restaurant left a lasting impression. The owners, made me feel like part of their family, and the flavors of Spain came alive in every dish. The tapas, especially the Calamares and Roasted chicken, were bursting with flavor. And the paella was the best I have ever had. It was so good, we had to return the next day for more!
