The BEST Indian food I’ve ever had in my LIFE!!! The ingredients are so fresh. Everything is cooked to order. Nothing is prepared in advance. And the flavor of the food is the proof!
The owner Hari is so accommodating..It’s obvious that he takes so much pride in the food they serve. And he will relentlessly make sure that your food is up to “your” standards. And will go above and beyond, to make sure that your stomach is full and happy :)
I’ve been here 3nights in a row for dinner and will surely be going back again tonite. I’m vegetarian so it’s very easy for me to tell if the veggies aren’t absolutely fresh. I asked him about it and the veggies are bought in small quantities every day; market fresh! I love it!
I highly recommend any dish with the paneer. (Which is also made fresh, from scratch; in house) So far my favorite has been the paneer tikka masala(had it twice). I don’t think I can ever eat tikka masala again elsewhere…I’ll just be disappointed.
This place is just a couple steps out of the way off the main road(Thawewong Road). But it’s so worth it to check it out. Its an absolute must while in Phuket. The place might look empty during Covid times…But that’s just how it is these days. Don’t let that dissuade you from eating here. I promise, you will not be disappointed. Hari will make sure of it!!
Love this place…come eat…leave...
Read moreDuring my visit to Royal Kitchen, I had the pleasure of enjoying two of their signature dishes: Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Biryani.
Starting with the Chicken Tikka Masala, the dish was a delightful combination of tender, marinated chicken pieces bathed in a rich, creamy sauce. The spices were perfectly balanced, offering just the right amount of warmth without overwhelming the palate. The sauce was velvety and flavorful, making each bite satisfying. It paired wonderfully with the garlic naan bread, which was soft and buttery.
The Lamb Biryani was equally impressive. The rice was aromatic, infused with saffron and a medley of spices that complemented the succulent pieces of lamb. The lamb was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, while the spices added depth to the overall flavor profile. The dish was hearty yet not too heavy, making it a fulfilling main course.
Service at Royal Kitchen was attentive, and the ambiance was comfortable, allowing for an enjoyable dining experience. Overall, both the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Lamb Biryani were delicious and well-prepared, making Royal Kitchen a must-visit for lovers of...
Read moreI would read the most recent reviews with a little caution. They seem to be very concentrated, perhaps to dilute the older, more relevant ones to disguise the true situation. After all, you see the top 10 or so on Google and then you tend to leave it at that.
It fooled us - who fancied a little change in cuisine, whilst visiting Patong. We were heading there on our own steam based on these reviews. Alarm bells should have started to ring, when we were ambushed by menu begging. When someone pushes a menu into your face it is a reason to stand down. Still, we glossed over that and proceeded on.
Then there was the empty restaurant. Another one of my golden rules broken - if there are no people in there, then there are usually reasons behind it.
The food. Wasn’t the best and I had to leave it as I questioned the authenticity of the chicken used. Was it chicken? Who knows. It was time to go.
Any way, make up your own mind. Follow your own instinct, although I am sure this review will soon be swallowed up by many fake reviews to push it down into the...
