Trattoria Capri da Rico — Restaurant in Patong

Anyone who traveled throughout Italy will understand this review. The food was poor at best. We ordered bruschetta, Large vegetarian pizza, scallop pasta and red wine. Let's just say it was comedy of errors. Red wine was chilled and not at room temperature and when asked to swap for a room temperature, the waiter returned back with another chilled glass. Lol. Eventually it was sorted. My partner received her scallop pasta first and I waited for approx 15 minutes to receive bruschetta which was basically diced tomatoes with no herbs or flavour. I then waited at least 10 minutes for my main which was quite poor and tasted like a frozen pizza. By the looks of the place, I assumed they serve traditional wood fired pizza but that's not the case. One positive is the customer service, the older Italian gentleman is Lovely and apologetic for errors and shouted us a round of limoncello. The only saving grace for this restaurant. Oh forgot to add, scallop pasta was quite bland and doesn't reflect the authentic...

This is a definite YES if you’re looking for a delicious break from Thai food. The service and setting were like being in Italy itself as it’s run by a family from the Italian food capital of the world, Bologna and the food was truly amazing. We had bruschetta and garlic bread for appetizers for our group of 11. The insulata mista hit the spot, family-style. Half of us had pizza and half pasta. Everyone was happy with their lasagna, Pasta al salmone, pizzas and more. I organized this meal based on Google reviews and looked like a hero, so wanted to pay it back to whoever is looking at this review: you’ll be glad you went to Trattoria...

Obwohl freie Tische mit gemütlichen und gepolsterten Sitzbänke vorhanden waren, wurden wir zu zweit an einen kleinen Tisch mit Holzstühlen gesetzt. 2 junge Farang haben nach uns dann den Tisch mit der gemütlichen Sitzbank bekommen.

Vielleicht dachten die auch, dass meine thailändische Verlobte eine Dame von der Bangla Road ist? Nein, nicht alle Thailänderinnen sind N*en.

San Pellegrino stand auf der Karte, war aber am Abend leider aus. Es gab nur einen roten und einen Weißwein zur Auswahl. Fand ich etwas schwach.

Bestellt hatte ich Carpaccio di Manzo mit Parmesan (?). Ich kenne Carpaccio di Manzo eigentlich mit Rindfleisch, auf den Tisch kam aber irgendwas mit Lachs (Fisch) und der Parmesan hatte auch gefehlt. Ich war irgendwie irritiert und habe, aber nichts meiner Verlobten gesagt. Ich wollte nicht bei der Bedienung nachfragen und den Abend ihr nicht versauen. Vielleicht gibt es ja auch Carpaccio di Manzo mit Fisch?

Bezüglich Pizza: Meine thailändische Verlobte meinte, daß meine Tiefkühlpizza in Deutschland besser schmeckt, als die dortige.

Fakt ist, dass der Pizzaboden verbrannte Stellen hatte. Normalerweise zahle ich nicht für verbranntes Essen. Für thailändische Verhältnisse war die Qualität sicherlich okay - in Napoli wird man dafür erschossen.

Nachdem die Vorspeise kam, dauerte es 45Min bis dann auch die Pizza an den Tisch gebracht wurde. Der Nachbartisch welcher 30min später kam, hatte die Pizza 15Min vor uns.

Service: Es wurde nicht nachgeschenkt. Es wurde auch nicht gefragt, ob alles okay ist oder wir noch etwas trinken möchten

Nachdem wir bezahlt hatten, fragte man uns dann doch noch bezüglich Kaffee und/oder Nachspeise.

Ambiente: Ganz nett innen. Gefällt mir wirklich.
