Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and Rude Behavior!!
We were really looking forward to having a good Indian meal during our trip and found this place, hoping it would offer both good food and hospitality. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be extremely disappointing.
After finishing our meal (which was average at best, with very small portions of Chicken Biryani), we faced an issue with payment, and I didn’t have enough cash on hand at that moment. Instead of showing even a little understanding, the staff was rude and impatient. He swiped and tapped my card twice, and rather than letting me handle the issue, he started flaring up and claimed his machine would stop working if he swiped another debit card I offered.
We had no intention of walking away without paying and were trying to figure out a solution. I had to literally search every corner of my wallet and combine cash with my friend to pay the bill. On top of that, the person made some unnecessary and arrogant comments, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.
What hurt more was that we expected a fellow Indian to be a bit more understanding — especially in a foreign country. Sadly, the behavior was the opposite of hospitable.
In contrast, every Thai person we've interacted with has been kind, helpful, and respectful — truly representing the warmth of this beautiful country. This incident has left such a sour taste that I don't think I’ll be stepping into an Indian restaurant in Thailand again.
Would not recommend this place — not for the food, and definitely not for...
Read moreI was recommend this spot by my local tailor shop. Showed up with my family of 5 and no one even came to greet us and show us to Our table. We take a seat, and waited for the menus. For a table of 5, they have us 2 menus.
The person walking around the restaurant, who seemed to be the manager or his staff were all least interested in servicing us.
I finally called for someone to take our order. We started with mixed chaat and Samoa’s. All of which were subpar.
Here is where things go from bad to worse. While ordering our main course, I asked them for tea (chai) and I was immediately shot down. They told me that they don’t service chai after 6 PM.
How is that even possible at an Indian restaurant? Unreal
Rest of the food came and nothing was impressive. There was also a cockroach under our table.
Funny thing is that it’s not the cockroach that upset me more, it’s the fact that they denied chai. Something that’s not very difficult to make and is pretty much expected at an...
Read more"A" for ambiance and seating area. They have a sitting room with cushions, pillows, and low tables which was super comfy to dine in. Nice lighting, decor, etc.
"C" for food. I had high expectations for this place but felt a little disappointed. We ordered samosas, tandoori vegetables, karahi chicken, and chicken tikka masala. We had Plain Naan, Garlic Naan, and Fragrant Rice for sides. The Karahi Chicken was so strong it was like a concentrate. I would mix it with yogurt. The Chicken Tikka Masala and Samosa were average. The Tandoori Vegetables were my favorite, and a unique dish that I hadn't seen anywhere else.
Overall "B" grade. I wouldn't return here but I don't regret giving it a try. Some other dishes maybe tastier than the ones we ordered, who nice. Wait staff was fine and the wait time wasn't long even at...
