After staying here, I will admit that I agree that some reviews I have seen have been too harsh. I think some people expect a resort property, and this is not that. I knew what I was getting into when looking at reviews and the prices, so I also knew to check out street view on google, because the pictures posted are not a very accurate depiction of the hotel, however it is nice to have a 7/11 and a dispensary (if thats your thing) right downstairs outside the lobby. I will say, however, that the location of the pool was unexpected, being down an alley in a separate, seemingly empty, building. Also, the elevator went out on our second day, I was just glad it worked when we checked in and out so we didn’t have to lug our bags up or down the stairs, however we noticed guests that were not so lucky (the elevator also smelled like weed, being right next to the dispensary - not a complaint on my end but something people may wish to know). I also have never had to wait to check out while they inspect our room, but I suppose since they didn’t make us put down a credit card at check in, this was fair, but the man running the desk at the time kind of seemed like he was interrogating us at the time, but we knew all would be good to go. The shower has no curtain, there are wooden shades that open to make the shower visible from the bed, but water was getting through it onto the night stand near the bed, as well as soaking the bathroom floor. My biggest issue with our stay here was waking up in pain each morning from the “mattress” being just a box spring that a mattress would go on top of. Onto the good: the location is great especially for young adults in my opinion with the beach, bars, clubs, and restaurants close by - it can get pretty crazy in that area with Bangla Road being a short walk, but we enjoyed having easy access to partying. Also the woman with the glasses at the front desk during most of our stay was extremely nice and welcoming! Had a nice balcony that allowed smoking, felt safe, and rooms were...
Read moreMe and the fiancee just came back from a lil short trip to Phuket for a nice 4days/3nights stay. (5 times and counting :) )||||Went with a couple of our friends which was their first trip to Phuket.||||Decided to stay at this hotel as it had a wonderful 2 bed room overlooking the ocean.||||Was a great stay with a lil more than 15min walk to the main shopping area Jungceylon and Bangla St.||||Ocean view is true BUT it was obstructed :(||Power lines and trees were blocking the ocean view BUT it was really close to the sea so that is a super plus point for us.||||Rooms were at the third floor and we did notice that there wasn't any in house restaurant around.||||The rooms was GREAT! Huge and clean and fantastic||The Jacuzzi was okay since we didnt realised we had one in the bathroom. It was actually an adjoining room with one being the master bedroom and the other a normal deluxe i think.||||The kitchen has an electric stove along with a fridge, toaster, coffee machine and oven.||||So all in all the rooms were great.||||ONE weird point was that, we "didn't have" hot water. We checked with the reception who sent a technician up on the first night to check. After bout 15min or so, he couldn't find the problem and said he would check again in the morning.||||Following morning we went for breakfast (which you have to fill up a form the night before on what you want. Kinda limited selection) and told the receptionist again. To our surprised, she said that it wasnt spoilt or what. It was just configured the opposite way. Red = cold water. Blue = Hot water.||||We rushed up back to the room to test our her theory AND....... HOT WATER!||Great feeling right? :)||||Weird but at least we can enjoy a nice hot soak in the Jacuzzi.||||Since its a really "small" type of hotel, there weren't any facilities around.||No pool. No gym. No restaurant. Just plain rooms and reception.||||Oh and they do charge for rental of the beach towels. 50THB if im not wrong.||And no smoking in the rooms which carries a...
Read morePlease check out our other reviews to see we always leave an honest opinion. |Booked this for two nights because it looked fine and although slightly expensive it was just after new year so no issues. |Upon arrival we had to wait until 2pm for our room, no issue. Then when being given key to room we proceeded to have what I would call a lecture. Signs everywhere telling you what you can and can’t do as in most hotels which is fine, but then reception proceeded to pick up every sign and go through and say understand after it ? I’m 52 and not an imbecile. Never had that before in any hotel in Asia as the signs are usually clear enough. |Anyway, got to room, no issues at all. Room although little dated was lovely. Bed was very hard even for Thailand. Discovered toilet wouldn’t flush, and mo we hadn’t put paper down. Got someone to sort it but still not brilliant. |Went to go get food and was told we had to leave our room key at reception? Didn’t like doing this as they would leave reception for periods of time unattended but we had to comply or face a fine. |Then discovered that the jacuzzi was out of action from 2/1-15/1 although no mention of this on website when booking. |Pool is in a different building across a courtyard. Nice pool area but small. 4 sunbeds ???? |No further issues u til we checked out. They told us we had broken the plastic bottle for body wash dispenser which we hadn’t. Then proceeded to charge us 400 baht for the privilege. Despite us saying we hadn’t done it and a replacement would never cost 400 baht we had to oay which is almost £10gbp|Staff weren’t very friendly which is very unusual in Thailand and we didn’t feel welcome at all. |We’ve stayed in worse hotels and better hotels snd have never anywhere else experienced such a place to constantly look for ways to fine you. Would never...
