Staffs assistance, friendliness and attentiveness was excellent. Before my date of arrival I was assisted by Khun Umaporn Khonthong and Khun Khun Raweewan Kontrong regarding on my reservations and transfer. Their response was swift, easy and they were very helpful. During my arrival, it was a very warm welcome at the reservation. Everyone was so friendly from the reservation counter to taxi counter. Always open and chatty. Thailand has always been like a second home to me and Phuket highlighted it with their warm hospitality. Their staffs was so professional and I love chatting with them. Managed to chat with Mahmoud, who helps us to get a taxi to town. Friendly person. Both our rooms was perfect. Not too small not too big, just enough. We stayed for 4 nights. Love the balcony. Umbrella were provided. I love the bed and the pillow and I slept so well and no back pain at all. The aircond was so comfortable and cooling even during the day. Basic amenities and LOVE THE DOVE shampoo and body wash! Housekeeping staff were keeping it very professional and did a splendid job of cleaning our room. They were so friendly! We even have a little chat while they are cleaning our room and their courtesy was splendid. They even gave us extra drinking water! Without us even asking! And we didn't even request for new towel but yet they have us two towels for spare. Attentive and incredible housekeeping staff we love you. Breakfast was basic but just enough for us who didn't over eat. Quite a selection! I love the baked potatoes maybe because it's my favourite and the butter croissant really suit my taste and I had so many! But the coffee could be better. I love the space of the restaurant, it was big enough to accommodate the entire hotel from 6.30 a. m to 10.30 a.m. Not over crowded, always selection of seating available! For 4 mornings, not a queue. Kudos to breakfast team! I didn't manage to enjoy the pool but it's very nice. I love the landscaping. One thing that really make me feel that I will be booking this hotel for my next visit is the laundry room. 3 washers and 3 dryers. Fancy facilities with aircond inside and iron. Only 100 baht per wash which is great. Laundry is really my priority if I travel because I don't pack much so this is such a rare experience to do it yourself. They provide us with so many options. You can also send it to them for laundry or do it yourself. Such convenience! And the location is incredibly strategic. Very quiet to sleep at night but incredibly near (no less than 70 steps maybe) to the beach and walking distance to Jungceylon, Bangla Road and Central Patong Dept. Store. So many restaurants and food stalls around the corner. Big 7 eleven on the side of the hotel, incredibly convenient, the hotel even have their own coffee shop at the lounge (with huge seating areas) and another coffee shop at the front side of the hotel. Convenience at its best. You just walked the whole patong and too tired to find a massage centre, they have it on site (Chaya Spa). My mom did a facial and I did massage. It really was good. Their staffs were so warm, friendly and attentive to our needs. All in all, this hotel would be my first choice if I go to Phuket next time....
Read moreWOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL to anyone. I feel the need to write you our personal experience from our yesterday check in to hotel Holiday Inn in Phuket. We booked a family room that seemed to be one big room with 4 beds, and because we are family of 4, we wanted to have our private space, so we booked another room. After we arrived it turned out the family room was 2 separate rooms, so we canceled the other room. That was fine and everything went well. After we came to the family room around 14:00, we just dropped our bags and went straight to have some food outside the hotel. We came back around 17:30 back to the hotel and we were very unpleasantly surprised about what was there. The rooms were so humid, everything was wet, our belongings, beds, mirrors, walls, floor (my sister almost fell down because her feet slipped on the wet floor), windows, doors, everything!!!! So we checked the aircondition controler and it was turned on to 21 degrees, so it wasnt the fault of turned off aircon. Also, it was so so cold there, that we were freezing. My mother is sick right now and she has asthma. The amount of humidity and MOLD that was in the room was unacceptable. So we went straight to the reception tell them what is going on. (By the way during going down to reception we met a guy and we aksed him if he has this issue in his rooms also, and he said Yes…) in the reception They told us they will call a technician that will come to our room. So we came back, the technician came WITH TWO TOWELLS! This was their reaction for mold and humidity all around the room. Its not a solution! So we went back to tell them we cannot stay in wet mold rooms, no way that we could handle it, and even worse for our sick mother. They werent nice, they seemed to know about this problem and they werent very surprised. They didnt apologize, nothing. They try to show us another room, but it was the same problem, a little bit less, but still mold and humid, with a smell of fresh painting on the walls. It looks like they try to cover the mold. So we decided we dont want to stay there, because its unacceptable to pay not a small amount of money for mold room where everything is wet and we are freezing cold. We wanted to cancel the room, the receptionists at this point were very upset and so were we of course. They told us they have to charge us for one night even tho we didnt even use the room for more than 1 hour, (this 1 hour we tried to solve this problem) so they insisted to charge us one night, and this is UNECCAPTABLE for us. We told them we booked normal rooms with normal services WITHOUT mold and humidity so we dont see any reason to pay for one night. The problem was on their side, not ours. When we asked them why they want to charge us for this, even tho we are not staying over night, their answer was that we are already checked in and we used the Room!!! But how could we knew about the problem withou checking in and seeing...

The noise levels here from the guests, loud music, and renovation right outside my room were very high. The pounding on the wall right behind my bed and sawing outside my room woke me up several times. Told me I was wrong for being there and this isn’t a place for rest. Started giving me recommendations for all these fancy hotels in other areas that I should go to instead, that I cannot afford. Yea, thanks for that.
I asked if there was construction, they were surprised, but yet then confirmed renovation. Yea that’s the sound of moving chairs and pounding and sawing is what I heard.
Havent felt more uncomfortable at a hotel before. I don’t know if it’s just the mix of people or just a weird time I was there, but it felt like zombies everywhere. Nothing from the employees. Just dead energy.
Do yourself a favor and choose a different IHG property. Never been so underwhelmed by a hotel in my life. And in points and dollars, this place is beyond overpriced. I love IHG. I am platinum member and feel comfortable at their properties worldwide. And the value is always there for me. Except for here. For the location, room and service, I feel like I completely wasted my money and points. I’ve had better accommodations and hospitality at a $20 hotel here in Thailand. it’s appalling they charge more than 3 times that for this poor property and location. The customer service is definitely lacking here. Did not receive the warmest greeting when I arrived either. Everything just felt flat. The energy…just nothing. Probably been overrun with tourists from all over the place for too long. I did not feel at home here even once, which is surprising for IHG for me. I also had to switch rooms which was inconvenient due to the noise levels of the music. I kinda wish I never came here. There was literally nothing given for being a platinum member. No welcome gift or food or drinks. Nothing. No room upgrades. There is no discount to do laundry here for being a member either. Really bad vibes here. I would never return.
