Aroy Dee Pattaya @ Soi New Plaza 《美味的芭堤雅餐厅》Since 2011 — Restaurant in Pattaya City

Superb restaurant, very nice and friendly staff!! to be honest I usually hesitate a little to try new restaurants especially the ones made for English people because it has an all western menu, and Thai food I found not too good, but this restaurant is an exception!!

One day I went there with my Thai Girlfriend and we ordered 2 Som Tam ( papaya salad), 1 with seafood for her and 1 without seafood for me 😂. But I ordered extra spicy ( usually they don't make it spicy for foreigners even after mentioning because Thai people eat too much spicy and foreigners aren't mostly aware of the level of spices they can eat), but on extra request they made very spicy - which me n my girlfriend finished along with 1 beautiful dish of chicken wrapped in Omlette, chicken wings, french fries, smoothies, chicken rice and lots of water. Was nearby the area and decided to have a super late lunch there in early November 2024. The staffs were super friendly and accommodating.. as Asian.. we love seated inside the restaurant.. 😆.. of course my first meal after landed in Pattaya has to thai milk tea...yummy.. we ordered pad thai less spicy which came out just nice.. taste is good, fried lala with less spicy which they did it perfectly too and is fresh.. we also ordered deep fried prawn wrapped in spring roll.. crunchy but the prawn is still juicy from the inside which you must dip it in the thai chilli which is sweet and very tangy.. and of course we also had deep fried chicken wings .. not to mention the fresh coconut juice.. very happy and stomach is full... good for a quick lunch if...

Unfortunately, it wasn’t a good experience for me. I ordered Pineapple Fried Rice, Fried Calamari and Massaman Curry. Fried Rice was good. Potatoes in the curry tasted off, had a very starchy smell and were a bit too tough. The curry soup flavour was great though. Finally the Calamari - they tasted really bad, had an obvious smell of very old oil and I ate just two pieces before mentioning it to the service. They still charged me for all three dishes, I didn’t get a sorry or anything.
