I think you should only go here for on table bbq and drinking. I took tonkatsu bowl 200b, green tea and 2 pickled appetizers daikon and bamboo shoots. my total was 535b. the tonkatsu was 70% breading. hot green tea was 120b no refill only a very small pot that looks more like a milk saucer, the volume is basically a small cup and a half. spicy bamboo shoots were good, daikon very meh, dry, not much flavor. unfortunately the food is overpriced for the quality presented. I'm giving it 1 star because tonkatsu is just inexcusable, but for all I know bbq and yakiniku might be 5 stars, I'm only judging my personal order. The staff was friendly but they also managed to bring me 2 wrong things I didn't order while I was waiting for my food. it was not a big problem and got quickly sorted out, it's just really clumsy, I was literally the only person inside when I ordered. the interior is very nice, the seating area decorations are fun, and there are on table grills. it can be a fun place for a drinking party of 4 to 12 people. if you go, they first offer you to scan on table qr code for the menu - don't waste time on that, there is no English there and Google translate fails for some reason, ask for a paper menu with English. for homey Japanese food I'd rather recommend you to look for a spot called Osaka...
Read more5 stars for the atmosphere AND THE ALCOHOL! I felt like I have been teleported to Japan! With their 399baht free flow (2 hours) of shochu, beer (and Thai whiskey? ;p), this can't be any better! But yet.. we made it better by requesting a double shot of shochu in all our Ume sour! It's embarrassing but we felt HIGH after our 2nd glasses... Eventually I had my 6th whole my wife had her 5th! This felt like the best night in Pattaya so far! Of cse .. the food were great too! Not all, as I felt the yakiniku pork set that comprises of pork loin were pretty hard and not suitable for bbq.... The pork belly were good though! Assuming u are ok with belly, just go with that and you will be happy like a 🐦 . The beef tongue, were thick, in a good way, and better in taste! Try it! And how can we forget the charcoal grill that looks sooooooo pretty! Staffs were nice and friendly, and I suspected the boss also said HI to us! I seldom say this... But this is close to a 10 for me... 9.5/10! Without a doubt, I will be here again! And again!...
Read moreI had high hopes for this place after reading so many positive reviews, and since it attracts many Japanese customers, I expected authentic and delicious food. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of my most disappointing dining experiences.
Hygiene nightmare – Before I even placed an order, I saw cockroaches on my table four times. No matter how tasty the food might be, poor hygiene is unacceptable.
Communication issues – The staff spoke no English and couldn’t handle even the simplest orders. I showed pictures with menu numbers, yet my order still came out wrong.
Poor food quality – The fried chicken had a rancid, oily smell, clearly from old frying oil. I didn’t eat it and left it untouched.
Tip: After 5 PM, cars cannot enter this area, so you’ll have to walk to the izakaya.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was a letdown from start to finish. I cannot recommend...
