Mathilda Restaurant — Restaurant in Pattaya City

The food was so so. Not the best we had in Pattaya or Thailand.

I suppose it is in a very touristy area with many Westerners. So I believe the food was catered for their palate. For example, the padthai (Thai fried flat noodle) is way too sweet, even asked for Thai hot spicy chilies did not help; score 4/10.

The mango sticky rice too so long to prepare, the sticky rice was apparently just cooked so it was steaming hot 🙄, a 5/10 score… our 4 drinks too long to be delivered, had to remind the waitress after 15 mins, overal drinks at 6/10. It was not crowded so service is considered slow.

When it came to the bill, the cashier added extra charge. I ordered pork padthai not beef padthai which the latter cost more for beef. Not the first time this happened in the trip. Fortunately, it was not a huge price increase but the not a good feel to be fleeced on vacation.

The dessert water chestnut in coconut milk was so so, at 5/10. Not a repeat sadly.

Won’t be coming here for Thai food. The only consolation was the crab fried rice was pretty decent at...

One of several Thai restaurants located on the corners of the sois adjoining Second Road - this one, in a good spot, especially if you’re a human observer, at the end of Skaw Beach Hotel Road.

I had kanna moo grob (crispy pork with kale, rice and two fried eggs with a bottle of Singha beer which came to B260.

Food was good quality and portions decent. I did find the rice slightly stodgy though which is why I knocked off one star. My server seemed abrupt at first also but was actually pretty good. Staff were very polite generally.

Fairly extensive menu of Thai and Western food with Thai soups and curries on offer as well.

Well worth a look-in if your hotel is nearby or are trying different restaurants...

Just came from Mathilda restaurant, and it was a completely surprise. They have a menu of many pages full with thai, European, Danish food and drinks. I ate at Mathilda Restaurant and had chosen for some Thai food. I had ordered a curry but it wasn't that good as I was hoped for. It tasted not delicious at all.

I don't know what it is, but during my few days I am in Pattaya I haven't ate delicious yet. Compared to other places in Thailand the food here is obviously not that good as I had hoped for.

Anyhow, service and friendliness of the staff here is good. Nevertheless I won't visit that...
