P'aan Restaurant Located in central Khao Lak, near Soi Nang Thong.
In the Khao Lak land that is dominated by Non-Veg, I found this gem of a place who agreed to make Jae vegan dishes for me (no fish sauce, no oyster sauce, no MSG, etc).
There is ONE vegan restaurant in Khao Lak (Beyond the Root, near Bang Niang). So sad.
But, I was happy to find this Veg-friendly place 💚🙏
Cute Thai cafe with outside eating options. Place was busy- mostly foreigners. Very few locals eating here.
I ordered stir fried kale and Tofu & ginger, with rice. 220 baht
A little pricey for 2 plates of vegetables and rice, but hard to complain when staying in a veg-desert.
Dishes were okay, added chili pepper to spice it up.

There are more decorative restaurants on the main road but we chose this one given its simple local atmosphere. Wide selection of food in the menu, and very reasonably priced (in fact fairly cheap in western standard). Food and drink are all tasted decent. We ordered the basil tofu rice, stir fried morning glory, pad Thai and deep fried prawn cake (this one was just alright), together with an iced milk tea and mango smoothie. Overall probably a 4-star experience but added 0.5 star given the price tag.

It's not a flashy looking place but the food was excellent and service very good. We stopped by for a light lunch. Had noodle soup with seafood and the other was with tofu.
