Hongjiu Grill and Bar — Restaurant in Pom Prap Subdistrict

Dubbed their skewers as "ไม่ใช่หมาล่า" so I was a bit skeptical but willing to give it a try nonetheless. Skewers turned out to be fantastic despite the mild mala spice, which I think is their intention anyway and it would be nice for those who don't particularly enjoy the overpowering spices.

Another thing worth mentioning here is the service from the waitress (the little Laos lady who speaks fluent Thai) - she is super friendly and service-minded and deserves a big raise for what she does.

I miss the 烧烤 Chinese skewer I had in China, that’s why I was happy to find this place. The taste is pretty authentic. The lamb skewer is a must! It has no gamey taste or lamb smell at all!

The other skewers are so-so, it’s good but not wow.

The cost adds up if you only eat food (we only came to eat food), the food price is pretty high (corn stick 20 baht). I guess other people are here for both alcohol and food. There’s aircon seat inside, the place is pretty small. The staffs are very friendly.

A good place to get some flavorful grilled skewers in China town area.

As a big fan of grilled skewer, I would say this place do a pretty good job. The thing I like about this is their cuts selection that we dont see very often like chicken cartilage which have a nice texture. I also enjoy lamb and beef aswell, spot on! They also serve some good pints to go...
