Chance upon this stall selling baa mee while exploring the neighborhood of Chinatown. The stall is in what looks like a food court with a few different stalls in it. This stall is located between Wat Mangkon and Hua Lamphong MRT station. I was there around 9am, and there was barely anyone there. The stall selling ba mee wasn’t busy, I was able to order immediately upon reaching. The noodle comes in 2 sizes, 50 or 60 baht.

Food didn’t take long to be ready. The bowl of noodle came with the usual wanton ingredients of charsiew and wanton as well as blanched vegetable. Noodle was nicely cooked; texture of the noodle was springy. The noodle has a strong garlic and lardy taste, probably from the generous garnish of pork lard and fried garlic. Wanton was quite nice; the filling was tasty and well-seasoned. On the other hand, the char siew was a little dry but tasty.

Overall, quite a decent bowl of ba mee I have tried so far in Bangkok, would recommend! If this is what you want to eat, there are still various...

Comfort food. Affordable meals. Authentic taste. Friendly proprietor.

These pretty sum up this hidden gem tuck beyond a small alley way which opens up to a car park where this shop is located.

Look for UOB bank & a Chinatown archway. Opposite are 2 coffin shops (yup u heard me right) between which is the small alley way where you will find this treasure.

About 50THB for the soup & dry version. Try both, springy thin noodles cooked to perfection and flavors bursting in your mouth with generous pork slices and deliciously soft wantons.

Highly...

The egg noodle with wanton is similar to Singapore's version of Wanton Mee. Its roots can likely be traced back to early Chinese heritage, with subtle adjustments to suit the Thai-Chinese palate through the addition of condiments like fish sauce, sugar, and chili flakes.

Our elderly folks loved it, remarking that it tasted just like what they had eaten in their younger days..The egg noodles are springy, and the wantons are flavorful, offering great value for money. It's definitely worth a visit if you’re coming...
