Cool Breeze restaurant review. English/ Spanish
Pros: No Additional service charge, taste, location, friendly staff, WiFi , ambience. Outdoor and indoor seating. Cons: not for budget travelers
We visited this restaurant on March around 6pm. We sat on the second floor overlooking the street. there is also on the main floor, a bar and a nice garden in the back with tables to dine in. It was a tranquil/romantic setting. They took our order right away. The menu has a variety of dishes from Spanish tapas to Mediterranean, seafood, steak, burgers and more. We ordered the lamb stew, yogurt Fea dip. For dessert we ordered the chocolate brownie with ice cream on top. There is a happy hour special and we tried the Sangria. We had two and they were tasty. The lamb stew was full of flavor and the meat was very tender. The dip was tasty but we forgot to get pita bread. Finally we had our dessert and I didn’t disappoint. I saw that there was WiFi but I did not try to connect. Our bill was Around 1000 baht. Over all, this is a nice restaurant for a quiet and even intimate dinner as the ambience and flavor are good. At the end we were greeted by the owner/manager and he was eager to know about our experience.

Read more2nd time I come here within 5 months, we were 5 people sharing one of the more expensive sets for 6. First of all food is definitely not enough. We got 8 small prawns to share between us, 2 slices of tomato bread cut inte 6 pieces. 3 lamb skewers with about 30g lamb on each and 4 chicken skewers with similar amount. 8 small Meatballs 20g each. When told we payed for 6 the reply was this is it, you got all the dishes. Also the food has NO flavour. Hummus is basically chicpea blended with oil. No salt, garlic, tahini, lemon or spices. Same goes for prawns, butter emulsion with raw garlic? Bread is cheap dry stuff from freezer. Only thing that was good was coldcuts which come from a packet. And mushrooms had some flavour but same thing. 2 small ramikins for 5 people paying for 6 is a joke. No wonder the place is always empty, no where close value for money. I have been a chef in various 5 star hotels and restaurant around the world and never experienced this price/quality/amount before. Total ripoff and bland. Owner definately...
Read moreWe went on a Friday night. Had a table upstairs overlooking the street.
The ambiance is very nice, you can do some good (surreptitious) people watching here.
We had not eaten tapas in a long time and certainly never in Hua Hin, so we ordered a lot from the menu.
Happy hour is 5pm to 7pm. We arrived at 6:55 and I can't be certain, but I think we got happy hour on all our drinks because the bill seemed to be too cheap for what we ordered and ate.
So the Tapas. Well, this is as good as Tapas that I have eaten in Spain, or London or even the Isle of Wight.
Every dish was perfect and the taste was exactly what we remembered.
I would give 6 stars if I could.
2 people, a load of cocktails and about 8 tapas dishes (good quality hams etc) was only...
