We've chosen this restaurant for our dinner cause we've seen their advertising at the Blue Port Shopping Mall. So I decided to call them and book a table for 2 persons at 8.15 pm on a Wednesday. The employe on the phone spoke a good English and it was no problem to get a table.
Where its based: Prime Steakhouse is based in a small exciting alley, it's surrounded by many other restaurants, shops and bars what leads to a little bit noisy area. I recommend you a table in the back area of the restaurant when you like it more quiet, if you like the lively atmosphere take a table on the street side. We were a little bit to late and came at 8.30pm and at this time the restaurant was not very much visited so we could choose a table at the terrace at the back area of the restaurant. The waitress came very fast and gave us the menu for food and beverage, the conversation was no problem, everyone here speaks a good English.
The menu: There is a huge selection of different starters like a mixture of European stuff with a small touch of Thai. For the main course you can choose between fish, pasta of course meat in different cuts with different marble selections and different kind of plates for 2-3 persons to share. And of course they have a nice selection of desserts for example panda cotta or creme brûlée.
Food: We took the Bruschetta and the smoked salmon with avocado as the starter and for the main course we shared the Wagyu Grill plate. The plate includes 3x 200g Wagyu (Tenderloin, Flank Steak, Rib Eye) and 1x Wagyu sausage, 3x side dishes (you can choose from a plenty of dishes like baked potato, mashed potato, french fries, potato gratin, french fries, Caesar salad...) and 3x sauce (you can also choose from different like smoked bbq, garlic butter, truffle butter...).
The food was very nice, the bread of the Bruschetta was a little bit toasted like it should be, there was garlic and herbs between the tomatoes. The salmon was nice and freshly severed with a little bit of lemon and some slices of avocado. The meat was just awesome. We took it in medium rare because of the high fat proportion of the wagyu beef. The best was, of course, the rib eye steak which was so juicy and soft I could eat a ton of it. We (normal couple age of 25) were very hungry, but with all the side dishes and the starters we couldn't eat everything and so we gave back 2 or 3 slices of meat.So believe me it's not necessary to take a startet when you want to share a plate like this.
Service: About 10 minutes after ordering we had all of our drinks and our starters, I can't really say if its every time this fast cause as I said we were like alone in there. In my view everything is a little bit too fast. Don't get me wrong I like it when everything necessary is there in the right time, but here it seems like they working off a checklist. Sometimes the acting a little bit strange. The waitress was standing next to our table for about 5 minutes, starring at us just for asking who we like our food. Thats a little bit strange when you don't know that its just a friendly gesture. She had always the right view on our table and just in case one of our wine glasses seems to be empty she came very quick and just refilled it.
Conclusion: The food, service and the location is all very nice. The prices are like in the midwest BUT don't expect Thai prices when you go in a steak house in the middle of a tourist area looking for some nice wagyu beef. They could slow a little bit down just to give you a better feeling, but that's like everything just subjective. We paid 7.100 Baht for (2x Starter, 1x Wagyu plate, 1x extra side dish, 1x bottle of wine and 2x...

We booked a table at 7:30 on Saturday night. The resteraunt was quite full when we arrived. Glad that we booked and reserved a table for 2 in the smoking area as that was the last available table in the smoking area.
The menu is quite extensive and has many different choices. You can satisify any taste.
I had the crab and avocado starter and my wife had the smoked salmon. Both dishes arrived beautifully presented. The taste of the crab and avocado eclipsed the presentation. This is an amazing starter.
I had the 300g Wagyu Steak. Cooked well done, exactly the way that I like it and absolutely melt in the mouth. The French fries are perfect. Super tasty and crispy. The blue cheese sauce for the steak is so good.
We also had the baked salmon with the duchess potatoes. The presentation is amazing and again the taste eclipses the presentation.
During the meal we drank Singapore Sling cocktails.
After the meal we ate a chocolate truffle. The truffle is big and tastes so good.
My wife and I spend 90 minutes here. The food presentation and taste is exceptional. The food arrived promptly and the service is perfect. Probably the most amazing thing is that the bill came in really cheap at ฿3450. That was 4 cocktails, 2 starters, 2 mains and a side order of Wagyu sausages. Even more amazingly is that there is no service charge on the bill. That really amazed me. To be honest, I would have paid double for that and still would have been happy and going back.
The Prime Steakhouse is absolutly a winner of a resteraunt. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Hua Hin. Because the whole experience exceeded my expectations, they have gained me and my family as...
Read moreMe and my son went for dinner to this place last week..last Thursday, 9th March 2023, to be precise. While the food was fine, pretty good in fact, the reason for my giving it 2 stars is the abysmal service, mainly the attitude of the hostess. They mixed up our order with that of the adjoining table, probably cos 1dish ordered, spaghetti, was common to both. After serving us, they didn't realize their mistake for almost 5-7 minutes and we didn't either. We were busy talking and the lady serving us came with fresh pepper but still no one had realized the error. Just as my son cut it, the hostess who had taken our order came rushing explaining how the order had got mixed. She tried her best to convince my son to have this instead of what he had ordered but he didn't want it. And that is when not only did her irritation become obvious but she snapped saying something to the effect that if you didn't want it, why did you cut it. This bungling up of orders was not our fault..it was totally on them. And instead of simply apologizing and getting the original order she snaps at us while she apologized to the European couple on the adjoining table . We didn't want to spoil our evening so didn't retaliate or raise any fuss. Later the hostess did come in asking how the food was. As I said earlier food was fine but our evening was needlessly spoilt. What is it with the attitude I really don't get it. I had been warned by some friends who had visited earlier about the subtle racism...sucking it up to Europeans and being off-handish with Asians and unfortunately we got to see that. So yeah while the food is good, attitude...
