Siam food club — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

I went here thinking I'd get Danish food with the name "Siam Good Club - Danskeren" and Danish flags setting the expectation. Staff were very quick, friendly, knowledgeable but when seated, the menu only had Western and Thai dishes. Once the food arrived, I was frankly very disappointed. Pork Chop was actually a schnitzel that had been hammered forever with mashed potatoes that were also just that, hammered. Sauce was just some run of the mill supermarket sauce with little taste. Equally, masaman was served with a ready-made sauce, not properly cooked potatoes and absolutely against any tradition, pieces of chewy chicken breast. AVOID! Food was nice but they padded our bill! added an extra large beer and doubled the number of rice portions. 200 baht or so extra so perhaps they thought we wouldn't notice. But we were only a party of 4 and had only one drink each; 3 large beers and a soft drink. A shame really. I'm not one to write bad reviews but this was blatant bill padding. We found this gem of a restaurant tonight and as soon as I got back to the hotel I wanted to post. Fab food excellent quality and fairly priced. Good range of frinks on offer. Staff friendly and will try to help with any requests needed. Lovely manager friendly and talkative but not overly so.
