UNCLE VILL Steakhouse. — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

We have been wanting to try the Uncle Vill Steakhouse for a long time. We especially want to try the Tex-Mex food such as Tacos and Burritos. On previous visits, we walked out because in spite of the large sign-menu outside the main door, they told us they did not have Tacos and Burritos.

On this occasion, the same thing happened, but they told us that they were "sold out" because they had more than usual customers. Whatever... excuses...

So, we ordered a Caesar Salad, a House Salad and an order of fried chicken wings as we had already sat down at a table.

My first observation is that the employees do not appear to be well trained and they appear uncomfortable dealing with customers. They are nice people, but they are really shy. Also, when you order your food, they bring a box of Kleenex tissues for you to use as napkins!

The dining area itself is bright and clean, but it lacks atmosphere.

I remembered to take photos and while all the food tasted good, the Caesar Salad and the fried chicken wings seemed to be the best value for money... the House Mixed Salad not so much. (They put a service charge on your bill as standard.)

We might be interested to come back to try the Tex-Mex food or maybe a steak, but we will call ahead first to confirm they have the dishes on hand. Hmmm... maybe too much trouble... better just go...

This place is a little unassuming cafe on the corner of villa market. It was empty when I sat down and I was a little nervous about that emptyness. I ordered the beef cheese burger with Mac and cheese and the cheesed spinach. (This being Thailand, that order is practically a death wish and quite a foreign combo of food outside the west) The burger was great, juicy and with American cheese lettuce tomato and onion, mustard as the condiment sauce that comes with the burger. I had to ask for ketchup. The cheesy'd spinach was cheesy and made with cheddar and was DIVINE. This was the best cheesed spinach i have had anywhere. The Mac and cheese....was somehow also amazing. The cheddar taste came through but they add something extra to make their Mac n cheese special creamy, like wow creamy.. perhaps they add mayo or crack. Anyhow, why this place is lower than 4.5 stars is beyond me. It is in a parking lot so does lose...

Went with my family as the kids wanted to eat some Mexican dishes. Great disappointment - not available, all sold out. Must be a joke. We saw in the kitchen a guy handling mexican stuff. Confronted they claimed he is new and is doing a training. Well, we settled with some other food (spaghetti, Burger, Salad). They are below average quality but above average prices we normally pay in Huahin. This place has seen before 2 other restaurants which all gave up. I assume this place will also vanish within short time. Ah... and they forgot also my order of salad. Place was empty and as people said before makes a sterile impression. Well that was first time and last time. Good luck - hope you can...
