FIVE Loaves Burgers: Phuket Town — Restaurant in Ratsada

Well, I kind of understand that they have this law according to which they must employ Thai-citizens, but the service here was totally ridiculous.

There was just one waiter and she didn't understand English at all. Maybe she knew about 20 words. Even more than that, after she didn't understand the order, she didn't say that or didn't try to confirm what have we ordered. It didn't come to her mind that maybe if two persons ordered one burger then something might be wrong with that and she should confirm the order.

So in the end we received just one burger instead of two ordered. Then I waited for my coke for literally ten minutes having the burger in front of me. That's because she tried to accept the order from other table for 7-8 minutes and I'm not exaggerating. They really tried to explain what they want for about 7 minutes. Then we waited for our other burger for some time and in the end I came to barmen and he explained me that she didn't understand the order and he sees only one burger ordered at our table.

What a gem to find! This place has great burgers, which can be hard to find around here. The wife and I went for my birthday, and very glad we did.

The staff were super kind, and took our orders immediately. The burgers were very reasonably priced, especially for the high quality. The meals were even better. The fries were nice and crispy, and the buns soft and delicious.

They have a "fry sauce" that you must try. Similar to thousand island, but tastes homemade and fresh.

We got two medium sized (delicious) meals with burger, fries, and a Coke for just under 500 bhat total.

The atmosphere was relaxed, and they have free wifi. Everything was clean and in order. They accept credit cards too.

We will definitely be returning a few times. Keep up the good work.

Edit/Update: Loved the burgers so much, we went back 3 days later for dinner. We tried the double patty meals, and they're even better. They're filling without being heavy.

Look. I liked this place. Ben there several times. That's why 2 stars, not 1. Today was highly unconfortable situation though. I ordered a set with simple burger with chicken. I pronounced "chicken" and pointed my finger on it. First waiter confused Schweppes with Coke in the set wich is fine. But in the end when I was paying it turned out that it was a burger with some fashion australin beef! Which is almost twice more expensive than chicken one. The taste was not so different by the way. I still had to add a lot of sauce to make it less dry and tasty. Waiter through tried to convince me that I ordered the beef burger and he was looking at me as I am the villain here. But it was clearly his mistake! Eventually they took money for the chiken one but It left some lingering resentment. Will never visit it again. You guys should hire less...
