The room is spacious and clean, but a little bit dark. The bed is comfortable. The hotel is located very close to Old Town, where there are many good restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops. It’s far from the beaches and the airport. For those who want to take boat tours, the location is convenient (it is closer to the piers where the boats leave from than other places in the east of the island - if you are staying in Patong, you will have to wake up an hour earlier to catch the tour). The reception staff is very friendly. The breakfast is very poor and the shower is also not good. There is no curtain in the bathroom, so after showering, everything is wet. There is only one soap dispenser, which should be used for the sink and shower. There is no conditioner, only shampoo. There are no face towels (only bath towels) and there is no spare roll of toilet paper (which could be a problem). There's no glass to drink something. The room is quiet, but very old and seems to be full of patches and wear. Instead of magnetic cards, they still use a key system. There’s only one socket in the room and it’s located underneath the bed, making it difficult to use. The final impression is that the hotel, in addition to being old and, with the exception of cleanliness, is not well maintained and there is no effort to make improvements, even those that do not require large investments.| I think that for the same price, you can find better...
Read moreI am travelling in a strict budget by my standards.. this venue served the purpose.
Several small things to be noted as a western traveller that might serve as a deterent anywhere else.. the biggest being the lift that didn't move after the doors closed... which could be a serious problem and a general mobility deterent.
This is not a luxury brand hotel. But considering its location and relation to everything in old town Phuket. It hits gold.. walking distance from a small mall..restaurants, bars, ATM's and a 711.. and most attractions within a 4km radius of this property it works perfectly for me. Free WiFi is a bonus. Friendly reception staff that helped with an arrival transfer arrangement. (A huge thank you for that). Prices per night that should satisfy any higher-end backpackers looking for something bigger and a bit more plush.
Special note.. rooms on the 2nd floor that are quiet.. have zero views.. just more backsides of other buildings. If you want a view.. expect a noisier street facing room.
Like all properties in Thailand even this venue has had its fair share of bumps during the ongoing Covid trauma. Considering that they are trying like everyone else to rise and recover. I will give them a thumbs up for effort in their price class and...
Read moreHotel is spacious with a small balcony. Staff attitude is good in general. Pros: Good location in Phuket Town, just minutes walk to 7-11, Limelight Mall and the reputed Kim's Massage Airport buses stop right at the hotel entrance. Cost of fare 100 baht vs. 750 baht by taxi.- travel time about 1 hrs under normal traffic condition They have elevators (but it was under repair during my stay) Provide larger bottles of complimentary drinking water; mini bar items are also cheap Cons: Rooms lack of natural light and artificial lighting inside the room is rather dim Restaurant only serves breakfasts in the mornings and drinks only throughout the day. Breakfast quality is one of the worst I experienced amongst the budget hotels. I had to pay 100 baht though. Fried eggs in the chaffing dish is cold and rubbery; the heated coffee is just too old; the whole plate of bananas are dark skinned and mushy... the whole presentation was just...
