Food was excellent and had a complex variety of flavors in every bite. I ordered fried dumplings, chicken satay, crab rolls as well as soy & gravy based versions of the noodles. All were great especially the noodles and chicken satay which stood out the most. The chicken satay was pleasant and unique, giving various depths of flavors, especially when dipped in the peanut sauce it came with. When it came to the soy noodles (I ordered flat noodles) I could say it was one of the best that I’ve tried here in Phuket. Reminiscent of pad see ew, but giving a smokier & bolder depth of flavor was like having a breath of fresh air from the classic pad see ew everyone knows and loves. The coconut pudding that they serve when you are seated was pretty good too. As far as service goes, it’s quite subpar since we had to wait for almost 30 mins for some dishes, but was quite understandable considering the place is often full. As for the atmosphere, it is reminiscent of any classic local noodle place, open air with fans and metal tables as well as the condiments you’d find along with it. It can get pretty hot during the daytime so I’d advise you’d come earlier or later in the afternoon for a more pleasant experience as it also depends on the weather since the place is open air. Overall a fantastic place with great food that I’d recommend to anyone who is looking for an affordable place to eat when visiting old...
Read moreIt's a great for a quick meal but dun underestimate the portion size it's quite a lot. The taste is more towards sweet than savory, so if ur inclined towards a more savory meal than this is not your cup of tea. However the pork satay is tasty several d only with lean meat, and a min order of 10 sticks, which is decent for one or two. Served with Thai peanut sauce and brined cucumensber onions and some chilli. The yellow crispy noodle ijs somehthing to try here. On top of that you have a choice of gravy sauce or stir fried black sauce. I choose the mixed variety so I can try a bit of everything they had, the fried fish cake was super fresh with fresh ocean fish in the inside and crispy fried texture on the outside, simply devine. It all compliments th dish quite well, served with a side of desserts in tiny cups. Eat as much as you want. Good job Keep...
Read moreI had the Fried Rice with Fermented Pork for 60 baht, and the Steamed Coconut Cream Pandan Glutinous Rice dessert for 10 baht. Free flow of drinking water is provided.
The fermented pork is well made. To add the fermented pork to the fried rice, it works well with the lime, fish sauce and chili. Note that the fried rice is quite spicy, so remember to ask for non-spicy if you do not want the spiciness.
The Steamed Coconut Cream Pandan Glutinous Rice dessert is quite tasty, a good blend of the coconut cream at the top layer, and the pandan glutinous rice at the base. It is like a sticky mochi, sweet and full of coconut cream and pandan flavor.
There are many locals or Thai tourist visit the restaurant, which is a plus if you want the local flavor. The satay from this restaurant is very popular among...
