At first glance, this establishment looks like the perfect place to have a nice meal with family or friends. However, it may look nice, but the service was underwhelming: When we stood at the front, no one from the staff came to seat us at a table, so we seated ourselves. It took 10 minutes to get the attention of staff to order. As we had seated ourselves facing the road, we actually saw customers coming in but going out already after 5 minutes because no waiter/waitress bothered to 1. Seat them and 2. Come to them for their orders. I was telling my partner that we should go because I have never experienced this in Phuket; if we go to other establishments down this road, they are more friendly and take their service seriously. After we had ordered (2 drinks and snacks) they gave me the wrong drink and one of the snacks – gyoza chicken – came in pork instead of chicken. When I asked a waiter (after 10 minutes of waiting and eventually gave up and waited till the snacks came) if they could change my drink to the drink I ordered, he didn’t understand and went to seek someone who could speak english. Personally I don’t mind that, but what I do mind is that we had to wait another 5 minutes before someone else came just to understand the ‘problem’. In total, it took about 30 minutes to switch this drink with my correct order. The staff weren’t rude or anything but certainly didn’t like their job and looked very unbothered. They also conveniently never saw customers wanting their attention, since my partner (and even other customers) had to raise his hand a total of 4 times before he was noticed by one of the +- 4 waiters/waitresses. My partner and I did like the atmosphere! It is just a shame that the food and staff didn’t correspond with the...
Read moreI don’t usually write reviews, but my disappointing experience at the restaurant compels me to share. The beachfront setting is visually appealing, with some tables offering a stunning sea view. However, others are oddly tucked away in a less desirable "back seat" area, which feels uninviting. The front tables, while scenic, have cushion seating that’s impractical for dining. Our party ordered drinks and food, but the tables were too small to accommodate three dishes and drinks comfortably. When I politely requested to pull up a vacant table for more space, the manager curtly refused, suggesting we "sit somewhere else" despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Confused, I asked again, only to receive the same dismissive response, with a vague mention that it "gets busy later." Frustrated, we settled the bill for our drinks and the fried rice that had arrived. The additional food we ordered was apparently given to the staff and not charged, but this did little to salvage the experience. What could have been an enjoyable lunch with a beautiful view was marred by poor service and inflexibility. With plenty of other restaurants to choose from, I won’t...
Read more🥲I had a very disappointing experience at Beach and Bubbles. While the location is nice, the service completely ruined the visit. The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. When we tried to place an order, they acted as if we were bothering them, and when we asked questions, they simply ignored us.
On top of that, the wait time for our food and drinks was ridiculously long, even though the café wasn’t that busy. Other tables seemed to be having the same issue, with frustrated customers looking around for their orders.
To make matters worse, we asked about the WiFi and whether we could work on our laptops there, but we were told we didn’t have permission. It was shocking, considering many cafes in Phuket are welcoming to remote workers.
With so many great places in Phuket, I wouldn’t recommend wasting time or money here. Definitely...
