As a Turkish person, my expectations were quite low when I decided to visit, but I wanted to give it a try because I missed my food. To my surprise, it wasn’t bad at all. I ordered chicken shish, while my boyfriend opted for lamb, along with a selection of appetizers before the main course.The chicken and lamb were both delicious—fresh and cooked in an authentic Turkish style, which I appreciated. However, the appetizers (mezes) were just average, and the rice was not prepared in the Turkish way; it was Thai-style rice. If a restaurant markets itself as Mediterranean and serves food from other cultures, I believe they should make an effort to prepare the dishes authentically. Convenient place for decent food. We ate here a couple of times. We had pizza, bruschetta, mango shakes. The pizza was good. The cheese, and in particular, the sauce was very good. The crust was the weak point, but overall - glad we ate here.

The bruschetta was just all wrong though. The bread was too small. The bread was too hard (and dark in some spots). The tomatoes were doused in some sort of vinegar dressing - this is the usual in restaurants that don't know how to make it. They sprinkled grated parmesan cheese from a can on top - really not happy at all with it. Waitresses were excellent, pleasant. 4 friends enjoying an afternoon at Nai Ton beach, we were looking for somewhere comfortable to eat and relax close to the beach where we had spent the afternoon. Macarona restaurant was clean fresh fresh restaurant on the beach road, the staff spoke English and were very welcoming. The kitchen is open to the restaurant, and as picky eaters we were able to see the kitchen was clean and well presented, and the food was all fresh.
