Boat Noodle [2/5]
On the flip side, the noodles were fairly ordinary, slightly chewy without much to write about. Sadly, the water spinach provided was tough and raw, failing to soak up the fragrance and essence of the broth.
🐖 Spicy Thai Noodles with Pork [2.25/5] This variant was somewhat less enjoyable than the beef version. The soup leaned towards excessive saltiness and lacked the expected meaty aroma. Additionally, the meat itself was notably tough.
🍜 Spicy Pork Noodle in Pink Sauce [2/5] It resembled a standard Chinese noodle soup, but many places offer sauces with superior taste.
🥟 Crispy Wonton [2/5] The wontons weren't freshly fried to order; instead, they seemed pre-fried and served from a nearby table. While they retained some crispiness, the initial fragrance was lost, replaced by a faint oily scent.
🌶️ Dried Spicy Thai Noodles with Pork [1/5] These noodles were incredibly spicy, to the point where it overshadowed the flavors entirely.
🍲 Tom Yum Noodles with Pork [1/5] There was no tom yum flavor at all, and it was overly spicy.
🌶️ Dried Tom Yum Noodles with Pork [1/5] Much like its soup counterpart, this dish lacked effort in flavoring.
My visit to Boat Noodle was prompted by its impressive 4.4/5 Google Maps rating and a recommendation from a YouTuber. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing. All noodle portions were served in small bowls, offering 2-4 bites. The location is conveniently near the BTS Victory Monument Station.
🤝 Service [1.25/5] The staff showed a lack of friendliness towards customers, regardless of their nationality. They often wore impassive expressions while taking orders and didn't greet or smile.
🏞️ Ambience [2.5/5] The restaurant had air conditioning, which added to the overall comfort. However, the uncomfortable chairs were a drawback. When queuing outside, there was limited shade available, often requiring standing in the sun (I waited for 20 minutes).
💲 Value [1.5/5] At 16 baht per dish, I found it to be overpriced considering the quality...

Read moreThis is actually a popular place just right at Victory Monument, but since I went at 2pm I dont need to queue for the line to get a table This place serves small portions for just 18 baht per bowl (about 2–3 bites), which makes it perfect for sampling the whole menu. We are two, ordered all menu, and left completely full!
I think why I only gave 4 stars is because of the flavor, quite salty and spicy for all flavor even though overall it was fine to me
For my taste, it is salty mostly, but that seems to be a common trait across many Thai street food places. My recommend was the Tom Yum broth version since it has a little bit sour flavor (the dry one were saltier, but still delicious in another way). The beef options were good in general, the braised beef is super tender and flavorful, it is salty (as always) but sweet in the last taste make you feel comfort when try it
The Thai milk tea was on the sweeter side, so if you’re not into sweet, ask them to reduce the sugar or mix it with mineral water. Overall, it’s a fun and affordable way to explore local...
