So far, I have not found any Ba Mee Jun Kang (Char Siew Wantan Noodles) in Bangkok that is impressive and this includes several that had gotten the Bib Gourmand nods. Perhaps it’s because I instinctively compare them with those I have eaten before in other countries. This restaurant is no exception.

Read moreSae Phun completely blew me away. We had some amazing meals in Bangkok, including a few Michelin-starred restaurants that cost hundreds of dollars—but honestly, this little spot was just as impressive in its own way.
The food was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and comforting. It wasn’t overly spicy, just super well-balanced and absolutely delicious. Everything came out quickly and piping hot, and you could tell it was all made with care. We had heard great things about Sae Phun before going, but it still managed to exceed our expectations.
One of the best parts was the owner herself. She was so lovely and welcoming, and even came over to walk us through how to eat each dish properly. That kind of personal touch made the whole experience feel even more authentic and memorable.
