There is something magical about this place. It’s a small parlour on a quiet street and very unassuming. There is only one room and there are three mats right next to each other. The little space is filled with heavenly herbal aromas and light-hearted chit chat. You truly feel like you are being welcomed into a warm home.
Not only did the ambience soothe and relax me, but my massage struck the perfect balance between pressure and relief. My masseuse understood my body better than any doctor, lover, or even I do. I have traveled to Thailand four times and I try to indulge in as many Thai massages as I can when I am here. My massage at Tipprappa Thai Massage was by and large the best massage I have ever received, Thai or otherwise.
I stopped by Tipprappa Thai Massage every single day of my trip, if not for a massage, then for a chat with the owner. She exudes warmth, curiosity, and a maternal presence. She is a wonderful conversationalist and made me feel at ease and at home in a big and unfamiliar city. I hope to come back and...
Read moreI didn't want to write this review. If I was going to stay in Bangkok for a long time, this is a massage parlour that I want to keep to myself. This is a real local massage shop. I've been to a lot of famous massage shops, but none of them were 100% satisfied with the massage itself. But it was different here. From the first touch, I felt her inner workings, and after the massage, I felt refreshed. It was a perfect balance between strength and weakness control and positioning, not a normal massage shop routine.
If you want a luxury service, go somewhere else expensive shop. But if you only want a real massage, I highly...
Read moreI stumbled across this place when I visited one of my favorite temples, Wat Pho. It offered one of the best Thai massages I've ever experienced that I brought my aunt, mom, and grandma the following week. The pressure was strong enough, and my back and shoulders felt relaxed and less irritated. The masseuse made sure to crack my back, neck, and shoulders. In Thai, people would say I have office syndrome, which means I sit all day on the computer and do my job. The facility was clean and comfortable. While I wish they had curtains for more privacy and relaxation, I understand it may not be possible given the price. The owner was kind enough to walk with me personally to a local shop for my manicure and pedicure. Thank...
