Na Tanao 1969 completely exceeded my expectations—this place is such a hidden gem in Bangkok. From the moment we arrived, even though it was late at night, Linn was there to welcome us personally with the warmest smile. He was always around during our stay, so kind and attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure we felt comfortable and cared for. It honestly felt like we were staying in someone’s beautifully designed home, but with all the privacy and comforts of a boutique luxury hotel.
Our room was incredible—spacious, quiet, and it felt like we had the entire level to ourselves. The hotel itself is stunning, with gorgeous modern architecture that still pays tribute to Thai culture. I loved how intimate the space felt with only four rooms—it made our experience feel really special and peaceful.
There were also so many thoughtful touches, like the unique little elevator and the secure front entrance with a great locking system, which made us feel completely safe. The location couldn’t be better either—it’s tucked away just enough to feel calm and private, but still close to incredible food, including some Michelin-rated restaurants just a short walk away.
If you’re looking for something different than the typical hotel experience, I absolutely recommend staying here. It was such a beautiful blend of modern comfort, Thai charm, and genuine hospitality. Linn made our stay feel personal and memorable in a way that’s hard to find—I’d stay here again in...
Read moreNa Tanao easily caught our eye as we are always on the hunt for unique boutique hotels/hostels/homestays on our overseas trips and boy she even looks better in person! 🌆
Our entire stay felt just like staying over at a friend's fancy vacation house especially with Linn, the receptionist, being very accommodating and attentive to our needs.
It also doesnt hurt either that the bar – i mean cafe 😝 – downstairs also had such an accommodating owner that we had a memorable time spending close to 4 hours there on our last day just drinking and talking with him. (It was even a Sunday with his assistant on a day off, so imagine how busy his day looked!!)
As for Linn, he gave us 3 bottles of water in the room because I think he noticed my partner and I took our hydration seriously lol. His hospitality is exceptional since he even stayed back a little bit later than usual during our checking in and checking out process and for that we just wanna give Linn a shoutout 😁
One thing i noticed though is the blinds near the toilet in the room we were staying was a bit dusty it could easily trigger a sinus reaction for anyone who has sensitive enough nose.
The towels also smelled a little bit vinegary but maybe that's just me and also Im not really knowledgeable at hotel housekeeping. Just making it smell a little more fragrant would make it a tad bit better ◡̈
Other than that, our stay was lovely and would want to be back for a...
Read moreThis place feels like the owner wanted to share everything he appreciates with everyone. everything they could control was good - the architecture’s great, the finishing is good. the place is spotless, the hairdryer is a Panasonic 1800W, bed is good, and the air conditioning was solid. Amenities were great - think bamboo toothbrush. They actually laughed when i shipped myself water because theirs (unlike most hotels) was unlimited. Service was immediate.
The soundproofing isn’t awesome - you can hear the downstairs music upstairs, and you can also hear the bikes revving up from 5.30AM in the morning. It didn’t help that their strong wifi routers came with random red and green lights, so while the blackout blinds worked, my sleep wasn’t perfect…this is usually a deal breaker for me but honestly everything else where was more than perfect for this price point
This places architecture was rejuvenating. I picked a room nestled inside so it was quieter and private so you could use the toilet with all the windows open. As someone who loves light, it was the ultimate luxury.
Location: I don’t know if I was just lucky but there were no traffic jams haha! Coffee downstairs is honestly the...
