اكتشفت مقهى "بايتس آند بوند" بالصدفة أثناء تجوالي بين متاهات أكشاك طعام الشوارع والمقاهي العصرية في بانكوك. يقع المقهى داخل نزل صغير في زقاق ضيق قرب منطقة تشاينا تاون، ويشعرك بالدفء وكأنه ملاذ سري لل locals والمسافرين على حد سواء. استقبلني الموظفون بابتسامات واقتراحات سريعة، مما جعل عملية الطلب سهلة. بدايةً: خبز الشوكولاتة المحمص. لم يكن مجرد خبز عادي دهني. كانت شرائح البريوش السميكة والغنية بالزبدة مُحمصة إلى درجة ذهبية مقرمشة، مع شوكولاتة داكنة ذائبة تتركز في الوسط. رُشّت القمة بفتات بسكويت الشوكولاتة لمزيد من القرمشة. الحلوى كانت حلوة دون إفراط، مع مرارة خفيفة في الشوكولاتة توازن السكر. اكتمل الطبق مع آيس كريم وموز مُكرمل على الجانب—مزيج رائع.

شاي تايلاندي مثلج بالحليب: غني، قوي، وحلو بالحد المناسب. حققوا توازنًا ممتازًا بين نكهة الشاي الجريئة وحلاوة الحليب، دون أي طعم سكري لزج. قدّموه في وعاء زجاجي سميك مع خطوط من الحليب المكثف على الجدران منعش لكنه مشبع، تمامًا ما تحتاجه في حر بانكوك. المفاجأة كانت مشروب بيبي بوي. لم أتوقع شيئًا، لكن الاسم أثار فضولي. اتضح أنه مزيج مرح من القهوة القوية والشوكولاته وحليب. شكله جذاب وطعمه لذيذ كأنه حلوى تتنكر كمشروب. الوجبات كانت كبيرة والسعر معقول (الخبز + مشروبان بأقل من 435 بات). القصور الوحيد؟ مقاعد محدودة في الغرفة المكيّفة. الخلاصة: "بايتس آند بوند" يشبه مطبخ صديقك حيث كل طعم يشعرك بالدفء. مكان بسيط، مليء بالنكهات، وبه لمسة فريدة تعلق في الذاكرة. مثالي لتناول وجبة خفيفة فردية أو لقاء عابر. لا تفوت تجربة مشروب بيبي بوي ممتع كما يتوقع اسمه. Stumbled upon Bites & Bond while wandering through Bangkok’s maze of street food stalls and sleek cafes. Tucked in a hostel in a narrow, alley near China town, the place feels like a cozy hideout for both locals and travelers. The Staff greeted me with smiles and quick recommendations, which made ordering a breeze. First up: the Chocolate Toast. This wasn’t your average greasy diner toast. Thick, buttery brioche slices grilled to a golden crisp, oozing with melted dark chocolate that pooled in the center. The top was dusted with crushed choco biscuts and crushed for crunch. Sweet without being cloying, and the chocolate had a slight bitterness that kept it from feeling like a sugar bomb. Paired perfectly with ice cream and caramelized banana on the side.

Iced Thai Milk Tea: Creamy, strong, and just sweet enough. They nailed the balance between the bold tea flavor and the creamy sweetness—no syrupy aftertaste here. Served in a chunky mason jar with a stripe of condensed milk artfully drizzled down the sides. Refreshing but rich, exactly what you crave in Bangkok’s heat.

The wildcard was the Baby Boy Drink. No idea what to expect, but the name hooked me. Turns out it’s a playful mix of strong coffee, chocolate, and milk. Aesthetic and tasty like a dessert masquerading as a beverage.

Portions were generous, prices fair (toast + two drinks under ฿435). The only downside? Limited seating in the AC room.

Final take: Bites & Bond feels like that friend’s kitchen where everything tastes like a hug. Unpretentious, flavorful, and just quirky enough to stick in your memory. Perfect for a solo snack stop or a casual catch-up. Don’t skip the Baby Boy Drink; it’s as fun...

Superb place for coffee and cake. Their coffee is really tasty, rich flavour and price is reasonable.

The interior of the café is a part of the new "Double B Hostel", and the design of the place alone makes it worth visiting. It's very "organic" by design, kept clean in wood, stone and metal and very spacious. (But they do need an air con!)

Staff is friendly when at very busy times which is a good sign. If they can keep the standard this is going to be a huge success long term. Thanks for a great coffee time and good luck with Double...

I love it!!! The cafe is on first floor of Double B hostel. New cafe nearby Chareon krung. It's not far from Tiger God shrine. Very nice unique interior design and good vibe. The interior is spacious, airy, open and very elegant. There are many seats for hanging out or working space. For drinks menu has both Coffee and Non coffee. The cafe also has bakery as well. i recommend Tiramisu cake. There is free Wifi too. For cafe hopper you might love it so much. The toilet is clean. All the staffs is nicely. There is not much...
