Read moreI’ve been in many Irish bars the world over and as a proud Irishman, I have been very regularly disappointed through prices that are deemed to be extortion, poor surroundings being pedalled as “rustic Irish”, shoddy service or a combination of all three. I am very very pleased to say O’Malleys had none of the above. Instead, we had attentive efficient staff, in very pleasing surroundings serving top quality food and drinks at exceptionally reasonable prices. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be back. Top marks guys! ADDITION: I have returned many many times since my first review above and I wouldn't change a word on the original. If you havent already been here and you're in the locality, you're missing out. Further update, Great to see the place going from strength to strength, incorporating live music on various nights now also. FURTHER ADDITION: Talk about going from strength to strength! This place never ceases to amaze me wechad the Pan Fried Salmon and Tom Yam this evening - both amazingly delicious. You're missing out big time if you're in the Silom area and don't visit here. FURTHER ADDITION: Right, this place has strived. My honest opinion is that it's the staff - all of them - that make it. You're losing out of you don't visit- seriously. Further update on 14/4/2003 Well, what can I say. The place goes from strength to strength and the staff are the best in the world! Couple this with the very best Lamb Stew I’ve eaten outside Ireland - and amazing collaboration with the external Songkran festivities - and you’ve got the perfect watering hole (IMHO) Don’t miss out on visiting this...
Read more23 Nov 2024 back in O'Malley's for a cocktail or two with my partner on our 21st anniversary. We are having a Caipirioska and the other a Caipirinha. Hard to tell which is which🤔 230 baht each. I'm sure after we have had a couple we will be able to work out which one is which.... Maybe! Well we tried 3 each, and we'll have to come back next time to decide which one is which we complimented with a bowl of chips which is rather nice. The visit cost 1560 baht.
The staff are still wonderful and friendly, one of those magnificient things that likes it always worth coming back to the bar for a celebrationary drink. Even if it's not a celebration always come back and enjoy a refreshing drink.
What a lucky find, after no travel for the past 4-5 years. I wasn't even looking just walking back to the hotel and stumbled across the signage on the street.
Staff welcoming, not being a beer drinker anymore the happy hour menu could have been a little bigger but no complaints.
Wasn't too crowded at 430 but slowly filled up with expats or farang as expats are known...
