Such a serendipitous experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip in Bangkok. We were checking out nearby restaurants and the ala carte menu of Red Oven offered a wide selection at reasonable price so we initially decided to go for it. We were greeted by the obstructed view of the gorgeous Bangkok skyline almost teasing us to get in to get the full view. Red Oven was running a Come 3 Pay 2 promo on their dinner buffet which also included sushi and grilled meat offering from their adjacent Japanese Restaurant SOSHI. After getting a quick tour of their stations and wide offering it was a no brainer. We did have to boom it through their website and pay online to avail the promo. After that was set, we were seated to our huge table which we did not fail to fill up with food from their wide buffet selection. They had staple Thai food from their refreshing salad, spicy curry to delightful traditional desserts. They also had a seafood grilling station next to their outdoor seating which had amazing views of One Bangkok and Lumphini Park. Biggest highlight were the 2 choices of Fresh French Oysters and the Japanese grilling station which offered tender pork and wagyu steak which were cooked to perfection.

Aside from the gorgeous view and sumptuous food, the very warm, friendly and gracious service from Fah, Bomb, Pond, Cream and Jah just made our experience even more memorable. They made sure we were attended to and were very patient in assisting us in booking the dinner experience online. We were truly impressed by their service and with Red Oven overall. If ever you are in Bangkok, do not...

I used to come here sometimes before covid and it was perfect, japanese BBQ, delicious sushis, great dessert, nicely cooked meat and pasta, salad bar and cheese...

Now, each dessert is more disappointing than the other, the best thing was a honey toast with maple syrup. I expected french style and excellence pastries from Sofitel So but instead got the classic cafe wannabe fancy desserts : looked good, but highly disappointing when tasting.

Their roasted pork was amazing, if I knew everything else was bad I'd have eaten only that, it was delicious.

Pasta wasn't good, beef was rubbery and tasteless, chicken wasn't better than street food, beef bourguignon was disappointing, japanese BBQ disappeared now it's prepared meals and I didn't like it personally.

Apparently the fish is excellent though, the seafood bar is good too but a bit stinky.

Salad bar is simple but really good, cheese and charuterie bar is very nice too.

I think they're understaffed and lost most their pre-covid employees because service wasn't very reactive and we had to try catch their attention often and some of them are not very well trained.

Nonetheless the staff is very friendly, understanding and helpful, I do think they need a new head chef tbh.

In my opinion, covid killed the Red Oven...

Had an amazing time here with the Sunday brunch. We booked late and all the window seats were nearly full however Nancy made sure to move us to the window as soon as a seat was available. The transition to the new table was seamless. The service was attentive and amazing the entire time and if anything was missing one of the team brought us condiments or what ever else we needed. Kie was always filling our wine glasses and made sure we tried all 4 of the selection. At no point did the glass ever get empty. Amazing service. B, Gift, Yell and LK were always there help us to make the service amazing. Food wise - Alaskan king crab and rock lobster was very fresh and continuously replenished. 3 different oyster with different dressings. Many different Asian and international cooked food varieties as well. A lot of these were delicious so don’t just stick to the what you know try everything . Wellington was a little salty. Lamb roast was nice. After roasting to rare they cut pieces and grill it to medium rare and top it with gravy. Th desserts tasted nicer than they looked which is surprising as they looked amazing :) well done to the both the service team and the chefs you made our day and were looking forward...

Pricey and not worth it. The seafoods, particularly the rock lobster, oysters, mussels, and smoked salmon were nice but still average. The cheeses and cured meets were good. The pasta was just bland, nothing memorable at all. The meat dishes were absolutely horrible, being highly overcooked and badly seasoned, and lacks any aroma. The Japanese foods were acceptable by streetfood standards but definitely not from an expensive buffet in a posh hotel. It seems that any foods requiring chefwork would turn out horrible whereas foods eaten as is are good. Exception is the ratatouille which tastes good and refreshing. Now for the decent parts. Deserts were rather nice and refreshing. Ice cream is splendid. Service is excellent. Giving 2 stars solely because of service. Overall though, would not recommend at the current price (Would pay 500 THB at most, because I'm sure there are much cheaper places serving the same quality). A nice place with great location/sceneries, excellent service, but pity they serve such bad foods.

If you’re in Bangkok and love buffets, SO/ Bangkok’s Sunday Brunch is a must-visit! Located in Sathon, near MRT Lumphini, the brunch is held at Red Oven on the 7th floor, offering stunning views of Lumpini Park. The modern, stylish, and spacious setting makes it perfect for a relaxed Sunday meal. Natural lighting and open kitchen stations add to the great dining experience! 💯 Food Selection: Wide variety, fresh ingredients, and high-quality dishes. Seafoods, Oysters, Foie Gras, Meat Carving.. 🌟 Ambience: Beautiful park views, stylish decor, and great lighting. 👌 Service: Friendly, professional, and attentive staff. 🦞 Seafood & Oyster Bar – Super fresh! • Alaskan King Crab & Blue Crab – Sweet, juicy, and delicious! • Oysters – Three varieties: Thai Linda, French Fine de Claire, and Normandy. 🍽 Live Cooking Stations – High-quality dishes! • Pan-Seared Foie Gras – Rich and buttery, perfectly paired with berry sauce. • Salmon Mosaic with Saffron Sauce – Beautifully presented and flavorful.
