I stopped in for lunch yesterday and had a burrito and nachos. Pleasant vibe, decent service, good food… but let’s be honest, it isn’t quite authentic Mexican food (it’s probably like Thai food in Mexico). That said, I’m not gonna sit here and critique every detail because it was still yummy (salsas were nice, griddled tortilla for the burrito was right on, etc.), but I will offer one bit of Secret.Mission restaurant consulting free of charge. When it comes to nachos, it’s not about the guacamole, it’s not about the diced veggies garnish, it’s not about the dollop of sour cream, it’s not about the meat or beans that can be added… It's about the chips and the cheese. Period, end of story. And this suggestion isn’t just for Spotted Pig, it applies to pretty much every plate of nachos that exists in Thailand: You simply gotta do better than Danitas chips out of the bag (you should fry your own chips) and you gotta add WAY more cheese. If you emulate something like Susie’s Mexican Restaurant in Arizona (see pics) and then advertised “Spotted Pig has Bangkok’s cheesiest nachos!” you will get ALL the farang business and probably increase your repeat business by 50%. Make it your thing! *Attached pics are not Spotted Pig's nachos, they are what Spotted Pig should aspire to!

Incredible Experience at The Spotted Pig My family of four, including our two boys aged 13 and 4, visited The Spotted Pig Mexican restaurant this evening—and we were absolutely blown away! From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience. The food was nothing short of amazing—every dish was bursting with authentic Mexican flavor, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. Whether it was the tacos, burritos, or the Colorado beef, each bite was a delight for the taste buds. Even our picky little one who had a huge portion of fish and chips couldn’t get enough! What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. They were fantastic with the kids and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. Huge kudos to the entire team at The Spotted Pig—your passion and hard work truly shine through. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be telling all our friends to visit too. Keep up the amazing work! 🌮💫👏

Fresh Mex is a good descriptor for the great food served at Spotted pig (SP) A firm favorite for my family and I, everything we’ve ordered - tacos, burritos, nachos, salads, salsa and corn chips, and more - are vibrant, tasty, colorful, and fresh. I am a big fan of their mole, which tastes infinitely better than others I’ve tried in the city. The SP mole is rich and unctuous, bringing a delicious mix of sweet and savory and a smooth, creamy texture. I could drink it! They also have a big drinks list and I vow to try their margaritas one day. We also love the bright, open vibe of the restaurant thanks to big windows which make you feel like part of the sidewalk. Two thumbs up and highly recommended for super Mexican food that delivers great value, flavor, and fun.

Meh. Maybe they were having an ‘off’ day. Guacamole (tiny serving like maybe 30gm) was oddly salty and the chips were flat - like out of a plastic bag and no seasoning. FYI, even bagged chips put in a hot oven for three minutes and lightly salted make a world of difference. Fish tacos were mostly spongy breading and were very greasy. The pulled pork burrito (served 20 minutes after we had finished the fish tacos) was served grilled, but was soggy and mostly rice and lettuce. Again, very disappointing.

Service was also off on our visit though waitstaff were plentiful. We only saw staff for the delivery of food. Never again. Never to ask how things were, to offer more drinks, etc. dessert anyone? The pig could have had more of our money, but seems as though no one was interested. To top things off our table was not level and rocked and tipped throughout the meal. Basic and fundamental Restaurant management is desperately needed in this establishment.

The space is clean and attractive and most every table full during our visit. The crowd was mostly urban Bangkokians and young - everyone taking photos of their food. A very nice atmosphere.

In a sea of some of the world’s best food, Mexican restaurants remain disappointing across the board in Bangkok. Having lived in Texas and California, I realize my bar is high when evaluating Mexican food. Is there no one making their own tortillas in Bangkok - one of the world’s great kitchens? Nothing outside tacos and burritos?!? Sadly for the pig, we are...

The Spotted Pig is a fine restaurant, but not perfect.

The food was mostly fine, and the service was okay.

We ordered many different items, some of which are not pictured.

The Chicke Fajita plate was great, however, you only get two small flour tortillas included - which is a little ridiculous. There should be 3, even 4, included. I guess this is how they make you order more, but it felt kind of cheap.

Next, the chile rellanos were bland and boring. There was no flavour in them at all. The included sauces did not really add anything to the taste. If I go back, I would not order them again.

The beef quesadillas were excellent, and the fruit smoothie was delicous. Although we did not eat the tacos or burritos, our friends were happy with them.

The serving staff, although always around and attentive, seemed to not listen to our request. For example, we had ordered the quesadillas with ground beef for 239 baht, but received the beef quesadillas at 279 baht. Either way, the quesadillas were great, but we would have liked to have what we ordered instead.

Overall, the food was fine. It's more of a tex-mex restaurant, rather than Mexican. The food was good, however, some of it was a little bland and required lots of sauce. There are some better options for Mexican food in Bangkok, but I probably would come back here for the delicious...
