Park Society — Restaurant in Si Lom Subdistrict

Came around 9pm on a weeknight, was just filling up. The cocktail menu was great. Wine was lacking (options considered bottom tier in the US, but this is Bangkok and good wine by the glass is hard to come by). Ordered the whiskey sour. Very delicious. Ended up having 3 of them. This is the only place I have seen Kentucky Bourbon in Bangkok. Our waiter was excellent, extremely friendly but not in a fake way, and he was very accommodating. The DJ was great. It was an elevated experience. It was hip and trendy but not pretentious. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. The bartender seemed very talented (saw him flipping bottles a few times). Had the crispy squid. It was very fresh. Enjoyed our time so much we stayed longer than we had planned, til about 12:30 (closes at 1). Expensive for Bangkok, but not for US or Europe. This is the rooftop bar (and restaurant) of the luxury Sofitel So, in Sathorn. Even if not too tall (29th floor), it offers a very nice view over the Lumphini Park, that probably you cannot find in many other hotels.

Please bear in mind that from here you CANNOT enjoy the sunset as the bar is exposed to the east and to the north (if open, it should be great for the sunrise 😊 ).
