HI-SO — Restaurant in Si Lom Subdistrict

Worst bar I've ever been to in my life. Went there at around half past 5, all 15 or so of the staff just hovered about without coming up with a menu or showing us to a table. We sat down and after 10 mins of no service I went up to ask for a menu to be told via Google translate that the bar was fully booked. No word of a lie there was not a single, I repeat not a single customer in the entire bar with 100 or so seats. Went to the downstairs seating bit to talk to a manager and was grudgingly offered a small table. There was nobody there either. Barman then forgot my order after asking 20 mins before so we got up and left. They also wanted a 17% service charge for the worst bar service I've ever experienced in my life. Tried to order two different drinks before the one I settled on but they had neither. High end European prices as well for all drinks. Absolute...

The Hi-So rooftop bar is a pretty intimate and quiet rooftop bar, without blaring music or a crowded bar scene (like Moon Bar, Octave, Brewski, etc to name a few).

This rooftop bar is not too fancy or anything, but the view of the city is absolutely fantastic. Mind you, the place seems to lack some maintenance or something, because we rented the upper floor deck for venue one night, and all the sofas had a thin layer of black soot on it. I'm thinking this could be just the dirty Bangkok dust that settled earlier that day, I'm not too sure, but maybe the staff could check and clean?

Otherwise, the staff are very courteous and nice. The atmosphere is a little dark, so this could be a plus or minus depending...

I used to go there quite often. This was my first visit post Covid. The service was terrible. The last drink also never came until we wanted to pay. I am not slamming down a drink that is meant to be enjoyed slowly. The cocktail menu i terrible both from a customer and business perspective. I don't want to read pages of flowery language about astrological cocktails to find out what's actually in them. Why would you want your customers to study a convoluted menu for half an hour?
